ECOGARD XA10486 Premium Engine Air Filter | Fits 2016-2022 Honda Pilot 3.5L; 2018-2026 Odyssey 3.5L; 2021-2025 Acura TLX 2.0L; 2017-2020 MDX 3.0L

At the dealer a few months ago, they said they recommended the engine air filter be changed and offered to do it for about $120! I looked up my car on here and found the exact filter I needed for significantly less than they were charging. After receiving the item, I was able to remove the old filters and install the new one in about 10 minutes. If they had both been new, I would not have been able to tell which was the original filter. The filter fit into its location perfectly and everything sealed back up nicely. I haven’t noticed any difference in the cars performance or gas mileage so it seems to be functioning equivalent to the original!!!

I never pay for my filters to be changed out when I get an oil change. Not only do I get hosed on the cost of the filters but the added labor costs? Why not replace it myself for a fraction of the cost? Only takes less than 5 minutes to install and saves me over $60+ at the mechanic's shop.

This is *really* an easy replacement...even Jeff Bezos could do it!!!!<grin> Fits snug. Just make sure you've got the correct end facing the correct direction and you're gold. ;) I think my 2017 Pilot had two clips that holds the cover to the filter box...release them. Then slightly pull the cover towards you (you'll be working over the side of the fender) while lifting up on it so as to simply tilt the cover open (you do not completely remove the cover). Remove the old filter and replace it with the new one. There is a wide bar on one end of the filter and a narrow bar on the other end...be sure the wide bar is facing towards you and not towards the engine...you'll see what I'm talking about when you see it. Take your time, be sure the new filter is positioned nicely inside the box, nestle the lid back on (maybe pushing it back toward the bottom a little to get things lined up good, once everything looks good relatch the clips...they shouldn't require too much force. That's it. Easy peasey and *way* cheaper than the dealership!!!! ;)
