My Linux workstation video started acting strangely - colored boxes obscuring the screen, and other strange abnormal display problems. Replacing the video card with this old-timer brought my display back to normal. Right price, easy to change out the broken card, good display for using browsers and office tools.

MINISFORUM MS-A2 Oculink eGPU AMD 7600M XT (GPD G1) < is a down graded to > PCIe slot NVIDIA RTX3050-LP ------------------------ I have a dual port Oculink 4x + 4x (8x lanes total) which i connect the GPD G1 eGPU but i find Oculink cable very unpredictable problems at times (with my environment), so while Oculink cable replacements is on its way to rule out the possible bad Oculink, many users complains the same about Oculink (whatever). In the mean time... i thought to try out this budget purchase, it was a very good choice! Installation ------------------------ with MS-A2, the Low Profile bracket install was pretty straight forward, before installing into the PCIe slot, i just had to "relocate" one of the two foam pads (on the montherboard) a little towards the front to avoid GPU card's metal back plate obstruction (see photo). once you clear that little foam pad, it should just pop right in like a charm. after that little foam pad relocated the clearance is perfect (top and bottom side with system cover back on). NOTE: if you need to take the card out for inspection and reinstall, try to loosen the two "low profile bracket screws", you might find it easier to remove without stressing. This manufacturing quality is pretty good, price is reasonable, it was $20 cheaper than another online competing reseller, the additional fan noise is not much noticeable for my ears, its not any louder to my ears than what system already producing with the CPU side already. My only wish was that the back side bracket has no ventilation holes, but the MS-A2 directional over-all air flow design is fine, so far its not a show stopper as far as heat is concerned. So performance comparison "specs on paper" its a downgrade, ... but i cant really tell much of difference performance wise. My old game tiles that runs on Dx8, i use dgVoodoo2 opensource to remap Dx8 to Dx12 to take advantage of modern GPUs, it runs pretty smooth can't complain at all!

ok for 2025-26. low profile 1080P to play older games. as in , red redemption, fogs up, with i7-6700 to 25FPS, 32 ram, so, that's not the issue, though it's old , 2666mHz ram.

My husband's graphics card went out on his computer. This works fine for his non-gaming computer use. We didn't need all the bells and whistles of a gaming card.

I use Windows Media Center (not available on later versions of windows) to record off air TV as a supplement to streaming. This card had an old enough chip set that I could get drivers for Windows 95. I tried it in different computers and with different monitors to be sure it was the card. It was.

Llegó en buenas condiciones, al principio pensé que no venía el socket de low profile, pero estaba un poquito escondido, tuve un problema con que la gráfica integrada limito mi ram pero entrando de la bios se arregló, busquen la solución, el pvz GW2 me corre bien eso si en gráficos bajos, juegos indies como ultrakill corren bien, Minecraft con shaders va sorprendentemente bien, con algunos pocos tirones, tienes q configurar bien el drivers, asegúrate que tú pantalla tenga HDMI antes de instalar y reiniciar con el driver, si no será necesario un adaptador de HDMI a tu entrada, en caso de que tengas adaptador la pantalla puede generar flickering, para eso busca como solucionarlo en chatGPT diciendo q tienes la rx550 lp, y el driver de adrenaline, allí dile q te lo diga en español pq luego te dice las opciones en inglés y bueno, te confundes, muy buena tarjeta gráfica mejoro mi experiencia en PC un 60%, bioshock infinite va bien, recomiendo instalarse MSI afterburner para ver la temperatura, en caso q supere los 80 se podría apagar la gráfica apagando la pantalla.
