My yogurt is very runny after 12 hours in yogurt maker, does this mean the bacteria is no good? I used 1 litre full fat milk in a yogurt maker

Heat the milk to 85C . Then cool it to 43-45C . Then add the culture and start fermentation. If you don’t use a machine , you need keep yougurt pot warm. Put blankets on them. After 12 hours , put the yogurt a deep pot and keep it in the fridge 5-8 hours without lid. You will see the difference

Can I make 1.5 litres of full fat milk with one sachet and get thick live yogurts? I use a different one currently but it’s only enough for 1 litre

Hello You can use almost any starter successfully with 1.5L or even 2L. However, it might increase the incubation time a bit.
