Good Day!

Thank you for your query regarding Bronchostop Cough Syrup where you asked if the product contains alcohol.

Please note, Ethanol is for the aromatic flavouring used as a component in foodstuffs and is always obtained from agricultural raw materials. Most commonly potatoes, sugar beets or wheat are used as starting materials for Ethanol production by yeast fermentation. The application of grapes or dates is not common and rather unlikely with regard to the availability of the raw material and cost-efficiency.

Additionally, Bronchostop Cough Pastilles only contain a trace amount of ethanol

Cagriff - broncho stop is an effective and more traditional cough syrup + pastilles that I have found works, notably for dry, tickly and catarrhal coughs, tho' not quite so effective for those runny nose/ sinus type coughs except that it does seem to make them less irritating - such has been my experience - you'll see a list of ingredients from the Amazon site, or tel 01748 828860 for help: active ingredients are extract from Thyme herb and Marshmallow root extract, the box tells me - 120mg and 830mg respectively in 15ml.. Usual precautions - don't take if allergic to these, if pregnant, breast feeding, not for children under 12 ......... briefly, that's it - there are more ingredients, but seem innocuous, tho' take initially with caution, as everything!!!! The pastilles are very effective and I find work very quickly. I hope this helps - I am, by the way, using it at the moment - I have the heavy cold that may be the same as that affecting many people in different circles at the moment - it helps! - Good luck, hope this helps - Ross
