Worked well on my 1987 Toyota Supra MK3
Used this tool to successfully replace 24 valve stem seals on my 1987 Toyota Supra MK3. Used the 'rope trick' to avoid removing the head. It takes several hours and mastering the technique and complete the task. The removal tool takes about 2 seconds to pop the valve and release the keepers, but spend 1-2 minutes fishing the keepers from inside the tool's powerful magnet using a dental pick. But that reassured me that the keepers wouldn't escape and fly away. reinstalling the keepers is the TOUGH part. It takes a strong downward push with the tool to get them to seat. About 50% on first try, otherwise had to change the tool and remove them and start over. Everything considered, I am very satisfied with the results considering the low price.

Great value
I was looking for something faster than the traditional cheap spring compressor for disassembly and assembly of the head from my 95 honda civic. I'm pretty sure the quality doesn't quite match that of the lisle tool this is copying, but works extremely well for the price and frequency I'll be using it. I was able to take all 16 springs and retainers out in about 10 minutes, and most of that time was spent fishing the retainers out of the tool. It seems like it would work well for most sizes of springs with the two tools included. Installation of the retainers took a bit more time and effort, maybe 30 minutes for all 16, but still a huge improvement, especially since I'm doing this by myself.

Used on ATV, did the job perfectly.
Great price for a solid tool. Magnet holds the keepers in place to remove. I found it was easier to reinstall hitting with hammer than pressing down. Used on Honda ATV.

Very easy and quick to use
I bought this to help aid me in removing the valve keepers in my 94 Dodge Stealth TT. It worked great even for a amateur like myself. It's very easy to use. All you need to use it is a dead blow and the tool. Seems to be very durable because I've used it several times with no issues. I was never able to use it to install the keepers so I got a different tool for that but it makes removing them a lot easier.

Removes and installs your keepers
Must have to get your springs off

Use just to uninstall keepers
Useless when putting little keepers back on the valve springs in the cylinderhead. The magnet pulls them out every time I tried to push them back in, plus I broke 6 keepers doing this and now it's taken even longer to put my cylinder head back together and I have to wait on new keepers and a different type tool to complete the job. Easy to take them out though. Waste of money.
