Quality
The minimal text works fine with this and the previous volume. It’s actually quite refreshing that the text is about why the project was done and the obsession with it, instead of the usual dribble that is written for this type of book. Quality book, just a shame Fuel make there books small.

If you like the first volume, you will like this as well
This book continues to show the odd shaped and colorful bus stops from the Soviet Union. Buy the first volume, and than this. If you like photography, architecture and old Soviet vintage, this book is also a must buy.

So much fun. Love the format and non stop surprises
So much fun. Love the format and non stop surprises. Happy to see Russia and lots if snow include this time. Will order more for small gifts as it as cheap as a decent bottle of wine.

Smaller format than the previous book but full of wonderful photos of a lesser known, very artistic, side of the USSR.
Smaller format than the previous book but full of wonderful photos of a lesser known, very artistic, side of the USSR. (I suck at headlines so I'll just copy my review.) The book is worth getting.

Every bit as good as Volume 1
Every bit as good as Volume 1. Christopher Herwig completes his passion with the perfect companion piece. Great photography and important work as our connection with the former Soviet Union fades. Beautiful documentation of the lesser know life from this era cannot be understated! The two books balance perfectly and even look great together on the shelf…well done!

The book is awesome, gives a lot of insight into bus stops. But the book arrived with jagged corners. It looks like a used book. 10/10 on content, 3/10 on book condition

This is a beautiful book that has Soviet bus stops from Russia, Ukraine, Crimea, and Georgia. The introduction explains that in Volume I the author had specifically focused on the non-Russian SSRs as art in the periphery, but then chose to focus more on the heartland in this volume when they realized that so many of the Russian bus stops were disappearing. I love how spaced out the settlements are - the author just includes a photo or two from each municipality before moving on. The shots are beautiful, the introduction is brief yet informative, and this is a charming book.

Waiting for the bus need no longer be boring. The shelters shown in this book are certainly very different from the ones I am used to in Australia. The Russian ones have a slightly manic look to them and none of the photographs show a timetable anywhere near them. Do you just stand there waiting for a bus or do you hope that a friendly Lada driver will stop and give you a lift? It is a great book.
