Rimmel London Radiance Shimmer Brick Pressed Bronzer, Light-As-Air Contouring Formula, 002 Medium, 12 g

I have a very pale skin (to give you an idea I use 001 porcelain foundation) and struggle to find bronzers that actually work with my skin tone. This one hits the spot - even the darkest shade doesn't make me look like I have a "dirty" face. The powder is quite firm so it easy to only pick up a little on your brush. It is also easy to collect colour from just one stripe of the compact - this is how I mainly use it. There is a little shimmer to the powder but no much that you look like you have been dipped in glitter, just enough to give a lovely glow to your skin. The middle colour is ideal for under my cheekbones and under the jawline. Initial application is very light but you can easily build the colour up if you need it to be deeper. The top stripe does make a really nice daytime highlight as it gives a glow without it being too "punchy" when you are in the sunlight. This compact will last for an incredibly long time. I have been using it daily for around a week and it still looks brand new - the pyramidal design still shows as crsiply as when it was brand new.

I have pale olive skin with a warm undertone and it's very difficult to find foundations and powders that match and look good on me. I opted for the light version of this product and here's my honest review after trying it out daily for a week. For reference, I was using it as a contouring and bronzing powder over the top of my usual CC cream. PROS: The powder went on like a dream over my CC cream (once the CC cream had had time to set, of course!) and I didn't need any additional setting powders or sprays at any stage of my routine. The powder stayed put all day, even though I was both indoors and outdoors, but it came off quite easily at the end of the day with micellar wipes. It was very easy to blend and build up layers of colour where I wanted them for contouring and it definitely gave a golden glow if that's what you're looking for. The texture felt featherlight on my face and I forgot I was wearing it most of the day. CONS This colour didn't really suit my skin tone unfortunately. It was invisible when I first put it on - the lighter shades stayed invisible even with building them up so were no use for highlighting and although I did manage to get some shading built up with the darker tones, the result was a metallic orange which wasn't flattering on my skin at all. It might be ok for nightwear but despite ticking all the boxes for being a good quality product it just wasn't right for me personally. I also have acne prone skin and I did notice that after a week of using it daily I had a small breakout (I haven't had a breakout for decades) so that might be something to bear in mind if your skin is sensitive like mine. OVERALL: This is a really good quality product that's buildable, blendable, lightweight and amazing value for money. This lighter block doesn't suit pale olive skin with a warm/yellow undertone - instead it gives a more orange/bronze/metallic glow which might well be flattering on other skintones or for someone very fair who is looking for a 'sunkissed' / 'bronze-tanned' look but it made me look like I'd put on fake metallic tan which wasn't the look I was going for.

Love this. Doubles as contour and blusher and you can use it as a bronzer in the summer. Wears well and price is unbeatable. I refuse to spend money on expensive cosmetics while Rimmel products can do the job just as well!

It leaves a natural glow. I went for ‘light’ and it works well on my fair skin, I have attached a before and after. It gives just a bit of sunkiss and shimmer. Also equals out red marks a bit. Blends nicely with a good wide brush. Lasts all day for me.

Due to being quite pale I like a nice bronzer just to add a bit of colour. This one is lovely, it has a shimmer and the tones are lovely. It’s quite subtle when it is applied and blends in with ease rather than having obvious dark bronzer patches that need too much effort. However… I’ve found that over time it starts to not come off onto the brush and I’ve had to scratch the surface of the palette to be able to use it again. I don’t know if this was just a bad batch but I’ve never experienced this before with others.
