EWS Epoxy Wood Stabiliser/Primer 225ML (2-Part)

Just the job. I used it to fix teak panels down on a boat deck. The original bonding had come loose in places and removing the teak would have been a big and costly job. So I injected this at the edges and it did a perfect job.

I ordered Timbabuild EWS stabiliser. 225ml It was quoted as being Epoxy wood Stabiliser intended to strengthen oak wood beams that had been attacked by rot. Confusingly, when it was delivered it was labelled as "Timbabuild EWS primer" and contained 300ml.I phoned the supplier - Paintstop who said it was nothing to worry about. It was, they believed, merely a question of inappropriate labelling. ( Why were the amounts different?) BUT...suppose it is actually a different product? My builder can't be sure. Certainly the amount quoted is not the same as that advertised on the bottle I thought I was buying. There are no paper instructions in the box . It merely says it's "professional" - as if everyone using this product would know everything there is to know about it!!!

Great stuff but expensive would be usefully to be able to buy larger better value pots.

It's hard to know if the primer mix is essential treatment prior to the application of the resin mix but, if you're going to do the job as per the recommended protocol, this is the way to go. 20 min wait time minimum once applied and away you go.

As a joiner I use timbabuild to consolidate soft timber before splicing in New wood.I find it works very well ,is reasonable quick crying and economic.
