I needed a long, durable cable with male-to-male connectors as I was striving to connect one of my video game consoles to a USB switcher/hub that I had connected to my PC across the room. The cable works great for that and I can now toggle all my USB devices connected to the USB hub effortlessly between my PC and video game console through just the push of a button. I went with gold plating for a better connection as gold-plated connectors are supposed to be more durable and facilitate better data transfer speeds (something that I thought was important given the 25' length of cable I was using here). Further, the cable itself seems to be made of durable material yet isn't resistant to being coiled which is nice if there is extra slack on it that needs to be tucked away somewhere.
