LOTS of diodes in many sizes and ratings for general purpose use
I ordered this kit to supplement my stock of components for my electronics hobby bench. The kit includes 30 pcs of 20 different diodes. There are rectifier diodes with voltage ratings from 50V to 1000V (and 1-3 amps), and some smaller schottky diodes, trigger diodes, and one set of 12V zeners. If I didn't have another full set of Zeners I would have liked to see a few more zener values represented. Each diode type comes in a ziploc bag, with a label stating the part number and a few ratings. I would have liked to see an index printed on the box (preferably on the outside) showing all the part numbers included. Since this wasn't present, I ended up creating my own. I pulled up datasheets online for each, and added a few notes (see pics). In doing so, I noticed two of them had discrepencies in the Vrrm ratings: - HER107 shows 1000V, while a datasheet showed 800V - 1N4148 shows 100V, while a datasheet showed 75V I can't be sure that the above datasheets are the correct ones for the provided components, but I just noted them in my index. I printed one and taped one to the outside of the box and the interior of the box lid for reference. Overall, great kit!
