If you do light electronic repair like replacing batteries in tablets or smartphones, this is important to not have electrostatic shock on your PCB boards. The most common thing I do is pick up wire looms that are close to the boards so my fingers don't touch them. You also don't want to get skin oil on what you're working on.But here's what else they're good for, working on models. Do you put waterslide stickers on? Do you put flocking down for terrain or model bases? This can be a bit more forgiving than metal tweezers or pointed hobby razors. I've had a couple accidental pokes with both of those over the years. So not a huge benefit, but something to consider. Oh and if you work with wet clay and don't want to get your metal tweezers wet with possible corrosion, these would be acceptable as they are made of plastic.
