Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo - Refillable Aluminum Free Deodorant

I have spent so much money trying to switch to aluminum-free deodorants, and none of them worked. They all left me feeling sweaty, and I hated having to constantly reapply them in the middle of the day. I was about to give up, but then my teen stumbled upon this brand and I gave it a try. This Sol de Janeiro one is the absolute only exception I've found. I never have to reapply it, it keeps me fresh all day, and it smells amazing. To be fair, it is definitely expensive for a deodorant, but for us, it’s 100% worth the price because it actually does its job. I buy it consistently for myself and my teenage daughter. My absolute favorite is their light pink one (I think it’s #68), but whenever that one is sold out, I always grab this number 62 stick as my backup. If you’ve been frustrated by other natural deodorants failing you by lunchtime, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. You can save a little bit by buying the refill cartridges instead of a new one each time.

Love how it smells, love how it feels, love that it doesn't irritate my skin like some do or get that funky smell as the day wears. I never felt like I get that smelly so I can't attest too much to it's effectiveness, but so far I haven't had bad smells or sweat smell -so must be working? It's expensive but it seems to last a while as it's a good size bar and doesnt take much to put on. I also love the container it is in, it has a screw top and feels really secure to travel with. They also provide straight refills so you can keep using the container and save earth the extra junk.

Works better than any other deodorant, but what’s best is it’s all natural no threat of cancer and it smells wonderful but not over powering, you don’t know it’s there, goes on so smooth and doesn’t clod my pores where other deodorants did, all around it’s just perfect I love it and will continue to buy it ♥️

I absolutely love the Cheirosa ’62 scent. It smells so good and makes using deodorant feel a little more luxurious. That said, I don’t find this does much to keep my underarms dry, so I wouldn’t choose it if sweat protection is your main priority. I did discover that it works really well for me on my inner thighs when running. It helps make that area more comfortable during a run, so I’ve found a second use for it that I really like.

I am a blue collar girl working outside in the sun; you best believe I am TESTING deodorant. I wanted to try this product because I am already a happy Bum Bum Cream customer and absolutely love the Cheirosa 62 scent. It's a warm, indulgent gourmand that has serious staying power on my skin. In this respect, Rio Deo does not disappoint! It smells delicious and lasts for hours, even well into the night with an afternoon application. Definitely a five star fragrance! To my pleasant surprise, it also seems to make good on skincare benefit claims; I noticed improvement in the softness of the skin and more even skin tone after only a week of use. Unfortunately, the benefits come at a cost. The product is very creamy and leaves an oily residue that WILL stain clothing. There are things you can do to mitigate it: rubbing it in will limit its impact on sleeves (and probably helps with the skincare benefits), but to avoid staining bras, you may need to blot and then wait for the product to dry completely before dressing - just know it may still stain anyway when you sweat. As these stains are oil-based, they're not easy to get out. That's a fair bit of extra work for a product we typically just swipe on after a shower. There are situations where this could still be the perfect product (i.e. depending on what you're wearing; I can see it working GREAT for beach/pool days), but for the price, I would expect more from it for regular daily use.

Only deodorant I can use. Has a great smell, isn't like the other organic deodorants, where you feel sticky, or smelly quick after up apply. It also has a refill option.

Smells so good and feels very soft.

I really like this deodorant and wanted it to work but if it’s an active day for me- i’m gunna be stinking after a few hours. It smells so nice and the texture is velvety and goes on smooth. It doesn’t leave stains on my clothes that won’t wash out. It doesn’t go on chunky or anything, even if it’s cold when i apply it. That being said, I’ve worn it to work a few times and I definitely stink if I don’t wear the right deodorant- and unfortunately this is not the “right” one for me. I can smell my bo after a little while and have to reapply, and somehow it makes my body odor smell even worse? If it’s cold though and I’m not being super active I can get through the day with this stuff, just not an every day deodorant for me.
