Hellsing - The Complete Original Series Collection [DVD]

I bought this Used and was a little dubious at first but it arrived very quickly and its in excellent condition. Would Definitely buy again through this company.

This isn't the more recent OVA series, so bear that in mind. This is the older anime produced by Gonzo which has a significantly different plot. It's also less graphically violent (so far- I'm on Order 04). Having said that, a 19-year-old female vampire gets a bayonet through the throat, so don't expect this to be none-violent. If you enjoy the Nazis in Hellsing manga or OVA, bear in mind this has no Nazis (there are a fair few swastikas, though). Ah well, Jan Valentine's in it, so it instantly wins. Also, Alucard and Seras have a much better relationship in this series. So far, anyway. The transformation scene was genuinely touching. Recommended, even without Nazis.

This original series came out before the manga was finished, so most of it is actually filler. Even still, it has some interesting plot and manages to stay relevant and entertaining. Seras Victoria is a lot less annoying in this series compared to how she acts in the OVA. She's less trigger-happy, seems more like a genuine person (rather than a generic anime stereotype). Also, I have to say this: Jan Valentine is a LOT funnier in this series than he is in the OVA. He's more crazy, and some of the stuff he says is slightly different, including the way he says it. But it comes across better, and makes him seem even more insane than he appears to be in the OVA. The fight between Luke Valentine and Alucard is disappointing, as he gives up too quickly. And since there's no "Millennium" yet (when this came out, the manga hadn't revealed it yet), we never get to find out who was truly behind the Valentine bros attack on the Hellsing headquarters.

Will only work with an external DVD player on your pc and with the VLC software (street cone pylon thingies icon) due to regional differences. This is region 2 won't play on region one. I bought it knowing this

Klasse Anime, ich fühle mich beim gucken an die gute alte Zeit zurück versetzt, als ich den Anime nachts auf MTV und auf Viva geguckt habe. Einziger Wermutstropfen, keine deutsche Synchro ist aber nicht schlimm.

Alles super, Verkäufer höflich beim Antworten. Beim internationalem Versand etwas verzögert, aber das kann passieren. Produkt im super Zustand - alles prima!
