I have an extra 4 pin power supply on my R4BE and had an extra cable and slot on my power supply to hook it up. It ran fine with the 8 pin, but felt with all the memory my PC has, I should also hook up the 4 pin. This cable gave me the extra length to do so and was needed due to how big my case is. I was a little worried it might be be too short (I have an HAF X), but ended up being just the right length. Had no problem connecting the cable to my board and to my PSU cable (Seasonic). The Seasonic cable splits in 2, so only used half of it to plug into this cable. Looks just like the cable that came with my HAF X, except its a bit shorter and is 4 pin instead of 8. So fits right in with it. Great buy.

After buying a graphics card to place on my micro atx board I realized my CPU power connector was VERY short, and connecting a graphics card meant i had to stretch the cable and it started to scrape the outsides of the cable when it pressed up against my graphics card, thankfully this adapter came fast and extended the cable i needed so i could move it into a safer, more comfortable spot. This potentially saved my PSU from being a brick with no CPU power connector, saving me from having to buy another PSU which is anywhere from 30-100 dollars, I'd say this is definately worth the few bucks I paid.

It's a piece of copper wrapped in rubber attached to some plastic. I mean what do you expect. Not exactly easy to screw up. It does what it was needed for at a minimum of cost.

When I ordered a new power supply for my Alienware R13 the chords were two short. These were exactly what I needed to finish the job.

Shipping was fast & the item i received was exactly as described. Product seems to be well Constructed, It has the Same Wire gauge as my existing cable & when i measured the Cable extender from tip to tip it measured at 9 1/2 inches. *I am very pleased with my order.

Item arrived quickly and was simple to install. Bought a "refurbished" power supply at half the price of a "new" one but the only ting wrong with it was the CPU power cable was about an inch too short to reach to the mainboard and this cable extension made everything perfect.

I literally can't even right now. As a fan of cables I have held many cables and this by far is the best 4-pin extension cable I have held. The plastic clips are very plasticish which is a good sign. The yellow cable is very yellow and the black cable... oh man... that black cable is Black! Are you outta your mind!? But here is the best part. It is exactly 8-inches! I've seen cables advertise 8 inches and ended up being 5. I have seen cables advertise 5 inches but end up being 8. But not this one, this one advertises 8 inches and it is 8 inches! Pros: -plastic parts are made of plastic -cables are correctly colored -pins do pin! Cons: -it isn't sleeved -no "high fidelity extreme performance diamond tipped gold contacts"

The cable works and fits fine. But be aware the wire gauge is not as thick as what is on the EVGA 500 watt power supply. So I took off 2 stars for skimping on the wire gauge. This can cause voltage drops, especially on the main 12 volt supply to the motherboard.
