Morris Products 30202 Pipe Fittings, Gallon, Clear

This item, Oatey 30200 Clear Cutting Oil, is well worth the money. I have used Oatey cutting oils in the past, but never the "clear" one. They have always functioned well and allowed me to cut good external threads as well as tap threads in blind as well as through holes. I found this oil to function every bit as well as the other dark oil without the severe staining that usually accompanies the process. If you are at all "messy" while cutting threads, you will end up with cutting oil on your hands as well as your clothes. This product, while still oily, will not leave the severe dark stain that the other oils do. I don't know that it is any more effective, but it certainly is cleaner in use. I can't fault it at all for any of its listed applications. NOTE: This oil is apparently formulated only for hand threading.....and that's just fine with me. I can't justify powered applications for cutting threads anyway.!!!If you have use for a cutting oil and previously used the older style dark, smelly varieties....I recommend that you give this one a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. 5 stars for a good product at a reasonable price.

This was my first time threading a rod so I really don't have anything to compare the oil to but it worked. I was threading a 3/8x 26t rod for a bike trailer axle. The oil consistency and smell reminded me of 3 in 1 oil that I've used for so many years. I particularly liked the applicator spout. It made it very easy to squirt the oil into the die as I was cutting. From the Amazon picture that I barely looked at I was expecting just a screw on cap. I was pleasantly surprised by the flip up spout. I would buy again.

This is the best cutting oil for drilling and threading that I have used thus far! I just finished threading from scratch all the rocker arm stud holes on a set of Chevy heads in only 45 minutes with this cutting oil. It simply made the threading job much easier so I highly recommend this cutting oil for that and drilling.

I used this cutting oil with my rigid pipe threader. I like the flip up tip on this bottle.

Works for drilling and tapping in mild steel and aluminum. It’s well priced and goes a long way to cutting materials without dulling tools.

Bottle leaked during delivery and made a mess in the box. Fortunately none of the other items were ruined. The remaining oil seemed to work fine.

I haven't used any other cutting oil before, but this worked well for cutting a few taps. I don't know how it compares to some of the other more expensive brands, but I know this worked perfectly fine for my purposes and was much cheaper than the competition.

Used this for threading some black iron pipe by hand. Used it plentifully - as it got going, a squirt every turn of the ratchet, once it was going, a squirt about every other (which would equal every complete turn). No problems, threaded clean, saved big money!
