The Ballpoint Doodle Handbook: A red, blue and black inspired activity book

Great for passing the time when reading my audiobook and just having a bit of fun. Has great activities that are very entertaining. Easy to just pull it out as all you need it a ballpoint pen and not colour pencils. Would make a great gift for someone who likes to doodle

I can't draw to save my life but love trying to and this book is full of different little techniques that'll help the most useless of want to be artists produce something that looks like what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be used with the three most used colours of ballpoint pen but it can be used with any drawing tool really (maybe not paint and the suchlike, though). I think it's great fun. I love it.

I would have preferred more examples to copy, and the few that are there are a bit naff, to be honest.

I really liked this. Doodles already exist to enhance, or on other pages there's lots of space to let imagination run free. Of course, the book is designed around red, blue and black pen, but this is the sort of book which encourages you to go off piste and run wild. A surprisingly thick book, and lots of inspiration for the wood be doodler.

Both my wife and my 5 year old daughter really enjoyed this book. My daughter is very artistic so she loved learning new techniques to make her drawings have more depth to them. My wife, on the other hand, is not artistic at all but she loves to doodle - research has found that if you doodle while listening or studying, you are more likely to retain the information. This had given her more ideas on how to create new doodles. As other reviewers have said, it does have a lot of blank pages, so just be aware of it. The quality of the paper is great and you only need regular pens to create new shapes.

Well if you did,this is the book for you!Go ahead,you can doodle as much as you like;as well as lots of space for abstract doodling,there are lots of useful drawing tips and techniques for designing fun characters and patterns.You only need to use ballpoint pens you have hanging around anyway,and the paper is thick enough for nothing to show through. Hours of fun guaranteed!

A great idea as a gift for a doodler! Just add a red, black and blue biro and the gift is complete! The book (or handbook as it is called) contains a selection of tutorials (how to draw, shading techniques etc), the start of illustrations and also lots of blank pages, lined paper, squared paper and dotted paper. What more do you need - there is plenty of space and inspiration to keep the user occupied/

I wanted to enjoy this book, but I couldn't get the hang of it. The examples are a bit strange, so as I didn't like them I didn't want to copy them. I think even though it says ballpoint pen I think you a really good ballpoint. . I like the fact there are loads of pages which means I can practice and make up my own doodles and use the techniques shown in the book.

I bought this as part of an art box for my daughters 13th birthday and now I wish I had bought one for myself. Inspirational with lots of space for your own creativity. The paper feels great to draw on and the illustrations are modern and cute. My 10 year old saw it and also tried to lay claim.
