Hi, Will the anti-tilt shoe block screw fit a makita router or will the makita screw fit the block hole?

Not directly, but i have successfully remedied the issue with my rp2301 by sourcing a longer machine screw and wingnut and it stays put just fine. (there is one hole on the makita base where it will fit through and not obstruct the guide bush) the trend unibase would work but i had one once and the brass screw females fell out so would not buy another as they are a poor quailty product.

Can I cut letterbox hole with this

Hi, you would need the plunge base these sometimes have two 6mm tapped holes 115 mm apart, if your plunge base has this then you will be able to utilise the anti tilt block. Regards,Cliff. Trend Tool Technology.

Can you attach a long varijig straight guide to this to enable you to router a larger opening than the 600x600 that this jig allows. Thanks

Yes we purchased one of these with extensions to rout out access panels & it will do up to a standard door size with the extensions, however the area you have around the work area is critical as in some restricted spaces with the jig set to less than the full extent of the extension the excess can protrude too far.
