MiniSAS HD SFF-8643 Breakout to 4xSATA Cable, for Server JBOD/Storage Tray & SAS RAID Controller Compatibility, 0.5m(1.6ft)

It works well. I am using it to connect 8 drives to a LSI 9500 with no problems.

Worked perfectly with a Dell H310 HBA in a Jonsbo N2 NAS case. The Jonsbo N2 requires right-angle SATA plugs on the backplane; otherwise, the exhaust fan won’t fit properly.

Using this to connect internal SATA ports to an SFF-8087 connector on the back of a system, so I can use a single line (with a locking connector) to connect to another chassis with multiple SATA drives. Works nicely. It is short enough that it still allows me to use a 1m cable between the two units (SATA spec limits cables to 2m total) and long enough that it easily reaches from the system board SATA connectors on the front of the system board to the connector on the back of the system. Having locking connectors on both ends (individual SATA ports and SFF-8087) provides a little more confidence that things will not come loose unexpectedly and cause strange faults in the future.

Did a few noise tests on the SAS channels and found no retries or SMART errors.

Very clean design, and very nice. I installed two of these in my latest server build and they worked perfectly.

Buenos cables en cuanto a funcionamiento, pero sorprende lo rígidos que son. Esto dificulta bastante la conexión, sobre todo en espacios reducidos, ya que cuesta manipularlos y adaptarlos. Entiendo que la calidad es buena, pero hubiera preferido un poco más de flexibilidad. En todo caso, funcionan correctamente una vez conectados.

I've waited a few months (purchased Sept 2025) to write a review on this cable set. Prior to this, I had a bad cable set that would occasionally cause a drive to fail via Linux's mdadm utility, which managed my software Linux RAID6 array. I would always convince it back to repair and accept it back into its flock, but I knew that it wasn't the right long-term solution. Ordered the above cable set after a disastrous purchase of another one of a familiar brand (begins with an S, ends with a T), and now, happily, after 4 months, I can tell you things are working fantastically.

Works well! Cable quality seems good. The heatshrink at the end of the sleeve makes the cable stiff at that point, which made it a bit harder to neatly route.
