No need to look further, this is the baby proofing you need
Couldn't be happier with this product. The quality/padding of the protector is really top notch, safe, and easy to install. The colors also have a nice depth to them and, when applied, are pretty aesthetically pleasing and discreet too. I have no complaints at all and given the price & quality, I think this is a great buy that keeps my child safe and us much less anxious as parents. Just two tips: 1. When measuring your cuts, I'd recommend always cutting a bit more slack (like an inch or so if it's a long piece) just to give you that extra bit so you don't fall short 2. The 3M tape does come separately but honestly I didn't think it was that big of deal. It's just an extra minute or so put it on and, given how well this product works, if that helps keep the quality up I'm okay with that.

Be certain to prepare the surface beforehand, but works well when you do
I bought this because I have a brick-mantle fireplace in my living room and two active toddlers who don't quite grasp the meaning of 'pointy'. To start, the preparation was a lot of work. For an approximately eight-foot run of brick, I spent about two hours getting everything installed. However, a lot of that was me cleaning the brick in the hope that I would get good adhesion from the included tape. This was vital. Most of the rest came from checking and re-checking measurements. I found that it is better to leave it a little long and trim the end than to risk having it short; note that this material will stretch if you pull on it, so getting correct measurements can be tricky. The instructions say to stretch out the roll for several hours before use, and that is also vital. You may want to stretch the tightly-coiled end for longer than that to get it to relax. The material cuts easily with a utility knife, though cutting it straight tended to be more based in luck than skill. Use a new blade. Heavy-duty scissors might work, but I didn't try it. The included pre-assembled corners were very nice and took out a lot of the guesswork, but they introduced different guesswork and complicate my measurements a bit. I probably would have had an easier time had I simply run the roll to the edge, cut it on an angle, and made my own corners, but on the balance, I'm glad that I used the pre-assembled ones. Once stuck on, you won't have the opportunity to adjust. Be careful. If your small child (or large child, pet, spouse) rips it up, it will stick back on without too much hassle, but there is a definite limit to the number of times that the adhesive will tolerate this. Be prepared to use your Stern Parent Voice. I got it to last about five months with two three-year-olds, and then I had plenty of adhesive left over to reattach the edge. It has saved skulls a few times now, but I will caution that this is not a complete safety barrier. Hitting the head on this edge still *hurts*, and the flat surface remains unprotected. However, it has prevented a few cuts, concussions, and general scarring and blood loss, and I figure that when it detaches the second time, my children will either be old enough not to need it, or wary enough to avoid the mantle.

Keep these details in mind when installing
It's good, just not 5 star worthy. First off - 0 issues with the sturdiness of the adhesive and quality/comfort of the material. While I don't use this for baby proofing, I use it on the corners of my desk I like putting my feet on and it's saving my feet for sure and staying secure through my body weight. My main issues holding back 5 stars: 1. there are some indents in a few places on the material from shipping/packaging. Minor annoyance. 2. If you're going for absolute precision, cutting to length is a bit tough to make it a perfectly straight edge (probably user error, overall close enough) 3. The largest complaint, and one they acknowledge on the packaging - the way it comes in a coil makes the installation and prep process very annoying. This wasn't obvious to me, but you have to uncoil the material, and lay it flat for 12 hours before applying the adhesive. It's fairly long and coiled tight - so I had to place books along the length to keep it straight. Simply very annoying to have to do. I got impatient after 5ish hours with some of the shorter distances I wanted to cover and after some careful somewhat difficult application of the 3m tape, was able to apply it without waiting 12 hours without issue. 4. Again due to the coiled way it's packaged - towards the end of the coil where it's the tightest wound, the material is noticeably wrinkled and unattractive. 5. Mentioned earlier - but having to manually apply the 3m tape to both sides of the padding and cut that to size as well is annoying (I know they're working on it). 6. Lastly - and I didn't see it mentioned - but when applying the padding due to the shape and nature of the adhesive, if you want it snug, it needs to be applied in a fairly specific way to be consistent over longer stretches. Peel 1 side first and attach that, then slowly peel the other side off and lift lightly as you go so the adhesive backing doesn't rip. Through these challenges and learning curves, overall it's a good product at a good price and I would recommend it. Now that I've learned some of what I've mentioned here I'd be comfortable buying it again - just keep these details in mind.

Form and function! Easy to install and looks great!
Blended perfectly with furniture. I was able to cut it to size easily with regular household scissors. Adhesive is strong! Baby was able to grab on to furniture edge to pull himself up without ripping it off!

Thick and Durable Baby-Proofing Solution with Strong Adhesion
The Roving Cove Edge Corner Protector is designed to baby-proof sharp edges on furniture, fireplaces, and other hard surfaces. This set includes 18 feet of edge protection and 8 corner guards, made from heavy-duty, soft NBR rubber foam for impact absorption. It features 3M adhesive for secure installation and comes in Onyx Black, blending well with darker furniture. I tested it on a coffee table and fireplace hearth to assess its cushioning, adhesion, and overall effectiveness. Pros: ✅ Thick and high-density foam absorbs impact effectively ✅ Strong 3M adhesive keeps the protectors securely in place ✅ Flexible and easy to cut, allowing customization for different surfaces ✅ Sleek Onyx Black color blends well with dark furniture ✅ Non-toxic, BPA-free, and safe for babies and toddlers Cons: ❌ Adhesive is very strong, making removal difficult without residue ❌ Not completely chew-proof—determined toddlers may bite into the foam ❌ May not stick well to textured or uneven surfaces Performance and Usability: The thick foam provides excellent cushioning, reducing the risk of injury from sharp edges. Installation is straightforward, and the 3M adhesive ensures a secure hold. While it adheres well to flat, smooth surfaces, it may require extra pressing or additional adhesive for textured materials. The foam is soft yet firm, making it effective for baby-proofing but not entirely chew-resistant for curious toddlers. Comparison: Compared to thinner edge protectors, this set offers superior impact absorption. Some foam protectors may have weaker adhesives, but Roving Cove's 3M adhesive ensures strong, long-lasting attachment. However, silicone-based edge protectors may be more chew-resistant for parents with teething toddlers. Who Is This For?: Perfect for parents with crawling babies or toddlers who need thick, durable edge protection for furniture and fireplaces. Also useful for pet owners or elderly family members who want extra safety measures. Conclusion: The Roving Cove Edge Corner Protector is a high-quality, thick, and secure baby-proofing solution. While removal may leave some adhesive residue, its strong hold, dense cushioning, and easy customization make it a reliable choice for child safety.

Prevents accidents.
This product is so easy to apply. The seal stays tight, no loosening on corners. My grandson is just tall enough to reach the edge of the kitchen counter. The rounded edges of the protector, cushions his head if bumped. Great product, highly recommend.

They Stay Put
I don't understand how these are not sticking for people. I applied pressure and they are adhering.

Wrong color
Got the wrong color. Ordered white and was delivered black but didn’t have the time to exchange. Otherwise it does what it’s supposed to but it does damage the table we had which was a concrete table. Could be the material but not sure what it would do to wood.

Looks great and very soft
Great product, just like the image and very easy to use. The double sided tape for the corner pieces has an easy to peel edge, which we really appreciated. Looks good on our glass coffee table

Soft spot.
We had some issues with some previous baby proofing systems... my kid has a scar on his head because of the other guys... this system is rugged and the glue holds and has saved us from a few emergency room visits. Great value for money
