I picked up this set of carbon steel track spikes for my kids, who both run high school track. Their shoes came with enough to get started, but you quickly learn that extra spikes are a must. They wear down over time—especially after the inevitable walks across pavement before and after events. We chose the red color to match their school colors, and while the finish does wear off with use, the red still mostly shows after several meets. If you’re really committed to keeping that new, fresh color look, you could easily swap in a new set for each meet—the pack includes plenty of extras. Performance-wise, the spikes do exactly what they’re supposed to do. They meet standard track regulations, fit the shoes perfectly, and stay viable through repeated use. Great price and wont wear down as quickly as some other brands. This is my go to for spikes. Colors are vibrant as well. Good quality for low price.

Daughter's first year of track and she wanted to embrace her school colors these paired nicely on her shoes. they did seem lighter when I installed them so she was happy about that, and she has plenty of extras incase any dull or fall out which makes me happy too. the wrench is perfect for installing or uninstalling quickly and she keeps it with her just incase she needs a quick swap. The color is a gorgeous blue and even though they are on the bottom they are still a nice contrast to ehr shoe colors.

Cute but yeah they only last like 3 sprint races for me before I needed to chang them. I’ve heard this before about the shorter life but the lighten I felt was worth it.
