Unlike other reviews I have read for this product it is a lot quieter than the 7TB Seagate Iron Wolf it replaced. I would also add that the actual motherboard may have something to do with the noise factor of hard drives. I say this even though I’m not a techie. The 7TB Seagate was placed in a newer desktop and the noise factor was a lot less than in its former computer. I have had Toshiba HDDs in the past and I have not been disappointed. Hopefully this one will last as long as previous one.

Very satisfied with this replacement main drive. It is noisy with my desktop at eye level. But not enough to be a problem. It is very fast with loading large files. Strange though there were not any locking screws supplied so if this an additional drive you may need 4 locking screws unless you already have a set.

For such a fragile product, this arrived well. It's louder than I wanted.

Tenía un Seagate de 8TB, a los dos años funcionaba muy mal, Windows 10 se ralentizaba de manera exagerada en todos los casos. Realicé un análisis del disco con CrystalDiskInfo y tenía muchos sectores dañados, intenté arreglarlos con la aplicación Victoria, pero estaba demasiado dañado. Ni siquiera lo usaba todos los días y cuando lo usaba era para guardar o leer algún archivo, nada de volcados masivos. Suerte que todavía estaba en garantía y pude devolverlo. Seagate nunca más, ya no es lo que era hace 20 años. He comprado este Toshiba de nivel profesional, que aunque me ha costado 400€, tiene 12TB(11 formateado), es bastante más rápido y tiene 5 años de garantía. El tiempo dirá si es de la calidad que dice el fabricante.
