Three Little Wolves And The Big Bad Pig: A hilarious picture book story perfect for any child who loves a twist in the tale

If you haven't read this you haven't lived or laughed enough. More seriously, it helps young children familiar with the story of the three little pigs to understand that there are at least two sides to every story and that story is an organic dynamic thing and you can change the ending and how it goes. Really recommend it. Below it asks me to state the age of the child I bought this book for. Well, I bought a copy for my 6 year old great granddaughter who does not yet read at this level but has full understanding of the concepts when it is read to her. Another copyfor my mum, aged 89 who has a seriously good sense of humour and an enduring love of children's literature. And one for me aged 66, a retired early years teacher with a devotion to children's literature and literacy. Hmm. If you want useful answers you have to ask the right questions.

Great story - lots of new technical words which my grandson picked up with glee.Also, the twist in the tale (3 wolves and 1 big bad pig) was very amusing.The illustrations are magnificent and even a pink, fleshy round pig has expressions which are scary!

This was a book for my great nephew aged 5, and his mum read it to him as a bedtime story. It was her suggestion that I got him something in the fairytale line, although he actually likes David Walliams books! My leaf through the Walliams one I had thought of giving made me cringe - there's something a bit 'poovey' about them!Was Three Little Wolves too young for him? It is certainly a lot more innocent than the Walliams books, and I think, read as a bedtime story once, it went down well enough. It makes a change from violent solutions to problems with aggressive characters such as the Big Bad Pig, but perhaps some dads might find the flower house a bit too feminine! It is a delightful take on an old fairytale, and read well to a child, should be very enjoyable.

I had this book as a child, but lost it. I teach 9 year olds and had to get this for them. They absolutely loved it, lots of laughs, and beautiful illustrations.

GREAT book really recommend it for your little sons or daughters. The book has some very nice pictures. The idea of remaking the story from big bad wolf to big bad pig and adding new characters like the flamingo, beaver, rhino and kangaroo is a really good idea. I also like the idea of the pig using demolition tools instead of huffing and puffing, he did try to huff and puff as well, but didn’t work out for him. The sledge hammer was my favourite tool that he used to destroy the brick house.All in all it’s a nice book for adults and children to enjoy.

As a Primary Supply teacher I take this brilliant book with me to every class I teach, be it aged 5 or 11, and they all love it. One class was sitting on the floor listening and when I'd finished they got up and gave me a "standing ovation."

This is a good book for children, a great story with lovely illistrations. The way that the pig is bad and the wolves good makes this story quite funny, a good twist on a traditional tale.The story isn't too long, could appear a little scary for very sensitive children, but there is a lovely happy ending. Using book with my year one class as book will appeal to all especially boys. Showed my husband and even he said it was a good book.

3匹の子豚の逆バージョンですが、豚のマッドぶりが想像を超えていて、でも最後は予想外の展開で…対象は5～9歳ですが、4歳娘のお気に入りの1冊になりました。長く愛読できる1冊になりそうです。
