An excellent reference book to inspire your garden design from small to large garden. A great addition for any gardener. I will use this book often, lots of information.

I really liked the lay out of this book, there are lush photos of gardens and also 2D plans to give you examples of how the gardens were built. There are sections on how to attain co-ordinated borders and there is extensive information on what materials to chose for your particular garden. Sadly this book has given me so many ideas I'm going to have to win the lottery to make them all reality. I've wasted some money on a couple of other garden planning books which weren't very good but I'd advise you to try this one first as it has been the most deatiled in my opinion.

Right at the beginning of the book, on page 8, I came across a photo very similar to one I took in 2016. It is, in fact, an image of the LG Smart Garden at Chelsea, designed by Hay Joung Hwang, but there's no acknowledgment to the designer, only the photographer. This is, in my view, wrong and although I find this book full of ideas, I think the originators of these ideas should be recognised and credited.

Amazing book. Having known nothing about garden design, and having been quoted 1600£ for a design, plus £300 pet sq metres for my small garden in South East London I thought stuff that, buy a book and learn some principles. Excellent info on types of garden, styles, materials and how-to do things, like lay a path or make a pond. Ok, it will not be winning Chelsea, but it has given me some confidence to tackle the job myself, with a landscaper to do the heavy lifting. Basically it's saved me £20k, so thumbs up five stars.

Recién me he iniciado en el estudio del diseño de jardines y por lo que poco que visto en el libro hay muchos detalles constructivos, información botánica importante, excelentemente bien ilustrado. Será como un texto de consulta constante y eso es muy loable.
