Does this flap open inwards or outwards? I’m looking for one for the inside of my door.

It is a very strong double flap. Maybe what you need is a flap made of fabric, possibly canvas, inside the door.

Is it just the edge bit or does it come with a flap?

It has a flap either side of the door. By

what is the distance between the bolts?

23 cms from centre of each bolt, 22 cms from edge of each bolt towards the centre. Approx 1 cm spare from bolt to opening of letterbox.
