Great item
I bought this over 3 years ago because I have a disability and I have trouble reaching to pick things off the floor. I still use it today - it hasn't broken in that time or lost any of its usefulness. It's sturdy and convenient. So happy with it. Definitely a recommended purchase for anyone who needs something like this. It is very useful for picking up things like paper, any small or light items that can be grabbed onto easily. It is not ideal for lifting things like a large coffee jar for example that would maybe be too heavy or difficult to grab onto. If you're looking for something that can pick up letters in your hallway or something light that you've dropped on the floor like a small piece of clothing then this is perfect.

Very Handy!!
I bought this reaching aid so that I could minimise the need to bend or crouch when I drop things because of a long standing back condition. They are a great help for many applications & I wouldnโt be without them now. I am about 6ft so the longer reach version was the perfect size. They do take a bit of trial & error when trying to pick up different things, it depends what it is & how it lays on the ground. The handle is good & light to use in order to close the jaws & the hook on the top jaw is handy, especially for taking socks off & then picking them up. The only minus is that the jaws are not heavy duty & you will see this if you try to pick up & grip something too heavy. The magnet at the top of the top jaw is also handy, although I had to glue mine in as it fell out, itโs going nowhere now!! All in all these are great, I use them everyday for various tasks & I am considering a second pair so I can put one upstairs & one downstairs.

Great ~ But .....
Could do better :| It's that bit at the end of the handle, see? Not sure what it's there for. Hammering glass nails into water? I reckon it was designed by the Spanish Inquisition. (No one expects them!) But. we'll get back to that. I bought this, very specifically, because I had puppies on the ground. And they'd ripped a 'Dog Cushion' to shreds. On the rough grass. Imagine it, can't ye? Puppy bite sized bits of kapok. *Everywhere!* I didn't have the heart to envisage me, crawling about with a sack. Picking every last bit of it up. But, at the same time; I'm a bit obsessive about rubbish. Thought I'd give one of these a try. Got the 32" one. I'm 5' 10" and lack arms like a Gibbon. Personally, I found it brilliant! Picked and sacked kapok like a veteran. Tiniest bits couldn't escape me! (I actually experimented and, Yes. Ye Can pick up a Matchstick with this thing! Good, eh? I can even *just about* manage a fairly heavy frying pan. Don't ask) Thing is; That bloody 'Hammer Head' bit. The bit at the bottom, to be exact. I really should saw that off, sometime. Just that I don't do any much continuous picking upping with it now. Glad of that. Because That bit's an absolute swine on the Wrist! Dunno. I think I have pretty average hands. Neither shovels, nor small. So, it's not that. It's a design niggle. It Digs into the outside edge of ye wrist. Right at the base of ye hand. Ye won't notice it, picking up the odd thing. But, if it was ye job? No Way! Be in agony inside way less than an hour! Other than that? Great! I studied the heck out of the massive array of these things available, on here. Read the reviews. Read the small print. Studied the pictures. This is definitely premier, in all other respects. It's proven a god send around my home. Sometimes, I just don't Want to be crawling around, reaching in or over. Grab my grabbing stick, every time now. Thinking about it then? I guess it *IS* 100% fit for purpose. It's not Mean't to be used by people doing community service. (If it was? They wouldn't do it again!) But, yeah, for those of us who find we could use a hand? Could do without having to somehow stoop down and struggle back up with some wretched item Back in our hand? This could be The One. I just hate that sticking out Bone Probe bit.

Reach that extra distance...
I have a fondness for NRS Healthcare, now no longer in business. They provided & serviced my electric bed. Their grabber multifunctional & the longer one great. I use it for all sorts of situations. Magnetic, sock & shoe aid. Have one in my bedroom & one in my living room & gifted my daughter-in-law one for her bedroom. All bases covered. Great ๐

Buried among a ton of paper
This is great and looks robust enough for me to use. A sign of getting older. I bought this item and a dressing stick at the same time but I didn't realise they wouldn't be delivered at the same time. The stick came first and the driver joked that the last time she saw a box that size and so light, it was a calander. Well the box was huge. I got a little worried it was just a box of paper as I couldn't feel the stick. And then, wrapped up in about twenty feet of paper padding, there was my tiny stick. I had a mountain of paper sitting on top of a huge box and a two feet long piece of stick the circumference of your big toe. Well, we had a giggle, took a few pictures and amused our friends for a while. And then, another knock at the door and another driver presented a box that was twice as high as the earlier one and had much more paper in it. Well the grabber thing was not too far away from being similar in size and shape. Another battle to extract it from the paper. So, I piled the boxes on the settee and scooped up the paper and positioned my new purchases in front, just like a pair of golf clubs. It was a remarkable picture. I did wonder about complaining but it was just one of these things that happen, it made an otherwise dull day into a bit of a giggle. My son went nuts when he walked in and saw the monstrosity. We couldn't get much of it in the blue bin so my son had to take most of it to the recycling centre. At least the pile of paper and cardboard will have a second chance at life.

Brilliant Pickerupperer.
Nice and well made. Not one of your pound shop pieces of garbage as this one is robust and will last a long time. I like the little magnet on the claws but not good for picking up heavy objects of course but ok for pins and needles and the odd nail or screw and maybe the odd coin if you get a magnetic coin (which they nearly all are now anyway). It has a handy little clip so you can clip it to the end of your desk or wherever. It is one of the better quality pickerupperers :-) Fast delivery too on Prime of course and no problems whatsoever. If you need one then go for the 32" and you will not be disappointed with the length. If you are a midget or an elf or a little tiny person then the small one will do but even then you will still be better with the longer one. You might think the price is a bit high but no way because it is well worth it.

Not as good as the cheaper ones
They may be quite expensive they look good but the very cheap ones are just as good. Donโt see where they warrant the money.

Good product and easy to use
Surprisingly light weight and very easy to use. You only need one hand which is very helpful when you have an injury or disability to an arm, shoulder or hand. A tiny magnet at the tip is helpful for picking up small ferrous objects such as pins. The jaw action works well and will even scoop up and grab objects flat to the floor such as a paper towel. The shaft is a fixed length, not telescopic, but it works well for someone of medium height. The fixed length does mean, however, that Amazon will ship the product in a gigantic cardboard box

Tut gute Dienste!
