A Faff to Light - But Excellent
They are expensive but really good. You get smoke for 5 minutes and then you’re good to go. I’ve found that I need a charcoal lighter thing to get them going, forget throwing a match on there. I’ve also used half a dozen briquettes instead and they do a great job on the cobb, it just takes longer to get them going as you would expect. Personally, I will use the cobblestones when I can’t be bothered waiting for briquettes to get going, but briquettes are by far the best value for money. It’s also very rare that we ever need a two hour burn time. Maybe they should slim them down to one hour and half the price?! As if!

They lie ever so easily
We’ve had our Cobb for probably 10 years now and these brackets are amazing. They like first time every time. Brilliant value for money you can cook on them for hours like two hours.

Simple & quick to use and hot.
Bought these with the Cobb BBQ. The single stone lights very easily, as each one is already impregnated with something, they also get up to heat within a few minutes. They are not particularly cheap, but a box contains six stones so lasts for six BBQ's The stones don't flame to start with so you don't think they are alight but you notice a greyness creeping across the coal. I think they get hotter than normal briquettes too. I found them fairly clean to dispose of, as it stays in one block.

Expensive but worth it
There’s no getting away from it - these are expensive. However, they are very practical for taking with you on picnics or camping trips. Each cobblestone is individually wrapped, so they are clean and easy to transport. They take up less space than the comparable amount of briquettes. I always keep a couple inside the Cobb lid, so I can’t forget them. They can be tricky to light, so I recommend one of those cheap gas lighters from the supermarket, rather than matches. If you are going to use matches, you may need a fire lighter too. Once lit, the cobblestone quickly comes up to temperature and then burns for at least two hours, often longer, even if I frequently remove the Cobb lid to turn food etc. It burns cleanly and does not leave much residue.

Take some lighting
Great idea, fit well however the few I've lit have been a pain. A match doesn't do it, neither a lighter! Expensive but do last well. Lasts long enough to cook the steaks. Probably go back to the briquettes as not 100% convinced worth the money

Cobbs are a brilliant piece of kit, and these make it work really well. Easy to light, and just leaves a clean sandy ash when burnt out.

Wow, it lights up very easy and fast, Smokeless. Effortless to prepare a backyard or camping cooking station. One briquette will last about 2 hours. But for 5-7 dollars per briquette, I felt it is at a little at expensive side.

The main reason I got these is for ease of lighting which they are fantastic and will be fully lit generally within 2 minutes, but the best thing is that there is no smoke in the process.
