was just what i need to fix my gate

Because of building work., needed to shift a metal gate originally 'latched' to a strike plate catch cemented into a concrete post onto two wooden posts. All that was needed (evidently) was a "Replacement Bolt On Gate Catch latch keep". Plenty of latch and catch sets out there, but getting a 'Catch Latch Keep' on its own was very difficult indeed. Ironmongery World came up trumps and promptly delivered the required item. The gate minus had been rehung. An excellent quality item that was easily attached to one of the new gate posts enabling the gate (which was now also in position) to be latched/closed properly. Matched and fitted existing set up and worked well

Although the latch wasn't wide enough i got it made larger locally and first lovely now.

Think they are made from monkey metal, it broke on a small hand gate that is now being kept closed with rope! Unfortunately not a great investment.

Quality product

If you use a round headed screw to secure this latch it will not allow the lever to drop, or if you push the lever into place you can't open it. Moral - use a counter sunk headed screw. It will sit slightly proud of the base plate but will work.
