This product really does help with minimising damage caused by slugs and snails on hostas and bergenias. Also used on my strawberries to act as a feed more than a deterent. This will now be a regular purchase.

Works at keeping the slugs off, though needs regular use as we get so much rain that it doesn’t last long!

This absolutely does what it says on the bag ! Great when watering in dry conditions- once it rains ( esp on your hostas) you need to still water them a little ) after the two weeks with this in yr watering can - as the slugs will be back snacking !!

So far, the results are unclear. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about our new infant family chieftain eating this as he tours his outdoor domain, but the slug damage to certain plants continues. They are not annihilated, but even the day after spraying there is some damage to certain plants. It is possible that the damage is slowed somewhat. The new hydrangea is surviving OK but the new honesty plants continue to be nibbled, with tell-tale slime trails on the leaves the day after spraying. Hellebores looking very good for a change although they were already mature. Overall the garden is looking lush despite me not hosepipe watering this year, and the nutrients in this may be helping. The lawn, clover and all, is looking relatively good. However, at night, said lawn (also treated) is like a Picadilly Circus of slugs - a veritable carpet of them. In some ways this doesn't matter because I think they are just eating lawn trimmings, but I would prefer slugs to avoid my garden altogether. This was achieved with slug pellets but since acquiring a baby these are no longer an option - they look like little blue sweets. It is hard to judge this product definitively because up until a couple of months ago I was using pellets, which worked really well. The acid test for this product will be springtime but for now I am undecided about whether to bother again.

Having tried several slug deterrents from pellets to natural wool, some working better than others, this is my favourite. It actually appears to work, as long as you remember to re-water it in approximately every 2 weeks. Also it doesn't kill the slugs, apparently they just don't like the taste of the plant after it has been watered with it. As I have hedgehogs in the garden I didn't want anything toxic and this does the job - now on my second bag!

I love this stuff.... I use it at the start of plants growing and water the soil not the leaves... For the first couples of weeks I use it every other day to give the plant a good start with it. Then down to once a week/every 10 days. My hostas look amazing!!! Can't recommend it enough!!!

Muy efectivo. Mis plantas estaban agujereadas por los caracoles y con un solo uso ni se han vuelto a acercar. Mis plantas se están recuperando y los caracoles ya no rondan mi jardín.
