Do i buy 10mm sraples for this?

I use 6mm, 8mm and 10mm in my tacker as it depends on what you are fixing. I use 10mm for carpet underlay and the tacker works really well. It may be possible to get / use other sizes of staple too.

Dose this cam with any staples?

I bought this a number of years ago and it didn't come with any staples then.

Does it have to be a certain brand of staples ?

No, providing you get the right size staple.

How do you get a staple out once it’s stuck?

If you can’t pick it it out with a tweezers or something else it is possible to take the tacker to pieces if you have the patience and time. Take out the spring that holds the staples in. Then can’t remember the best order to do it in as it was a few years ago I did it, but If you lift up the rubber handle you can push the pin out, Undo the Allen key at the front and there are two bolts on the top which holds some parts onto the frame. Just remember where everything goes and it should just all go back together again. Hope this helps.

Very good tool but...

Very useful tool to have at handy for any DIY. But I just wish they would have known exactly what type of staples goes with the tool which is not 12mm as mentioned in the description but maximum 10mm. DO NOT BUY 12mm STAPLES FOR THIS TOOL! I think they should give us back the money we customers spent for the staples that do not fit, but they advised us to buy (why 4 stars). For the rest I'm very happy about this tool.

feels very well made and has a nice weight to it. Didn't use Stanley but made sure they were of the right type and didn't have any problems. Made carpeting the stairs so much quicker and easier!

Heavy and heavy duty, if you want a tacker then you need this, wack away and land the staples in the spot, just like using a hammer. Advertised saying incorrectly it takes 13mm staples when it only takes 12mm but they can be forgiven for that because it's such a good wacker, so if you need a tacker that's a wacker get this wacker tacker and you can wack your tacker all you want.

The best I’ve found

Hi I’m a carpet fitter of 20+ years and this is the best I’ve used by far. Usually a staple hammer from other brands only lasts a couple of years before it starts to jam up, then break. Since finding these Stanley ones I’ve never worn one out…. This is the third one I’ve bought but only because I’ve lost the others at customers house’s. Both of the others I’ve bought I’d had for 4 or 5 years with absolutely zero jamming or any other problems before losing them somewhere. Please don’t stop making them to this quality Stanley 🫶
