This fits great into a synta style opening, such as those used for a guide scope or finder scope. Enables you to mount a dslr camera to the top of a telescope to take pictures of the Milky Way, etc. Tightens to the camera nicely.

Great to attach your DSLR to mounts.

I wanted to mount a camera to my telescope (not looking through it, just on top of it) but couldn't find a way to do it until I found this gem. It has the standard screw for mounting a camera as if it were on a tripod. A shoe holder (order separately) fits to the telescope and now my camera tracks the stars along with my telescope. Made of aluminum, not plastic, that allows my camera to be securely mounted. Well worth the price!

This adapter perfectly fits the finderscope dovetail mount on my Orion telescope. The 1/4-20 standard bolt allows easy attachment of a Tele-Vue solar finder to the Orion so I can safely align the sun in the telescope's field of view in a foolproof way. Just what I needed, and makes attachment so easy and convenient compared to the alternative of sticking the solar finder to the telescope with adhesive.
