Fixes your center of balance.
This outrigger system is great! I can now stand up with ease on my Hobie passport 10.5 kayak. It's changing my fishing success big time. It's much better than having to inflate your outrigger like some other manufacturers. One bit of advice, install it with plastic rivets on the body of the kayak instead of using the sliding track system. It's more stable that way.

Rugged Stabilizer with a Mounting Point Weakness
This stabilizer is one of the most robustly built units I've encountered – almost over-engineered in its construction. However, the mounting point design seems to be a significant oversight. It appears too weak to withstand the considerable force generated at the kayak's mounting point, potentially leading to damage. To address this, I had to implement a crossbar to reinforce the two sides. While the stabilizer itself is excellent, the mounting system definitely needs a redesign for greater durability.

Great Stability and Support for My Ascend 10T Kayak
I added these outriggers to my Ascend 10T fishing kayak, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The stability they provide is amazing. I’m able to stand up confidently while fishing without worrying about tipping over. This has really improved my overall fishing experience, giving me more freedom to move around and cast from different positions. Installation was straightforward, and the outriggers feel very sturdy and well-built. They don’t interfere with paddling or maneuvering the kayak, which is a big plus. Whether I’m out in calm waters or dealing with slight waves, these outriggers keep the kayak balanced and stable. If you’re looking to enhance your kayak’s stability for fishing or just want added peace of mind while on the water, I highly recommend these outriggers. They’ve made a noticeable difference for me and have become an essential part of my setup.

Not Worth The Price
I ordered these for my 12 foot Hoodoo Tempest 120p kayak, which is motorized with a Minn Kota Endure 55 Max electric trolling motor. This Brocraft stabilizer set was purchased as an upgrade from my other stabilizer set that came with inflatable pontoons. I drilled extra holes in the ends of each stabilizer arm and fitted them to both track rails on each side of my kayak. This makes for a very secure system, and there is no flexing of the hull. The weak point is the inflatable pontoons, which are vulnerable to sharp objects in the water, and being accidently hooked! So, this Brocraft set seemed to be the perfect solution. Unfortunately, they turned out to be a bit heavy, hard to put together/take apart, and the pontoons were small. I went out fishing on New Melones Lake in Northern California yesterday,03-13-2024. The wind was blowing, and the water was rough. Perfect weather to test these new stabilizers out in! I realized that there might be a problem when I couldn't get the pontoons to float completely upright on the water. I tried to get them adjusted, but there was nothing to be done about it. See pictures. I mounted the stabilizer arms on the included track rail mounts in order to avoid drilling holes in my boat. I immediately saw cause for concern when I noticed the plastic hull where the metal track rails flexing with every wave, large or small. The next issue was that my kayak heeled over on turns a little farther than it did with the original stabilizers. This may not be a problem for some people, but it was a final deal breaker for me, as I fish large waters that can have some pretty big waves. The inflatable pontoon stabilizers are larger, and they do a better job of stabilizing my motorized kayak in this type of weather conditions. I decided to return the Brocrafts.

A+ PRODUCT! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Well worth the price. Easy install. Have been using for close to 6 months. Everything from freshwater ponds and lakes to the deep waters of Puget Sound. I am 6'4" and 280lbs using these on a 10' angling kayak. No more worries if rolling EVER. Have floated right over wakes from ski boats to giant ocean cargo ships and used with incoming and outgoing rides. These were WAY better than I expected. Great quality parts. Never worry about them popping as they are plastic and not inflatable. Seriously, I will use these on every kayak and if possible on a canoe.

Mounting equipment
I used the provided brackets to mount my outriggers. There are no instructions included but through a little measuring I determined that I needed to drill 1/2” holes for the grommets. After doing this and securing the screws to hold the brackets in place I attached the outriggers and went out onto the creek. After only a few minutes the outriggers had ripped the metal thread inserts on the outer 2 grommets on both sides out, leaving exposed 1/2” holes in the body of the kayak and essentially removing any benefit from the outriggers. I intend to return the outriggers but now I need to find a way to patch the 8 1/2” holes in my kayak.

Very high quality product.

Extrêmement bien construit. J'aurais préféré que les flotteurs soient un peu plus gros en volume mais c'est franchement un produit de qualité!
