Great bit of kit for your Bosch lawn mower
Use this on my Bosch lawn mower 2 or 3 times a year. Works as it should, diverting the grass clippings down back on to the lawn and not all over your legs and feet.

It is an expensive piece of plastic, but it does work
With the mixed reviews, I was a bit sceptical about this, but I gave it a try anyway. Like other reviews, I must say it's expensive for a single piece of plastic. Though to be fair, it's the width of the lawnmower and covers the grass outlet. So this replaces the grass box and turns it into a mulching mower. I have a 430LI and it really does work. Some people say why not just run without the grass box? - well I tried that and the spring cover isn't strong enough to prevent stones pinging out of the machine and grass still came out of the back, whereas with this shaped piece of plastic it is. This also diverts the cut grass downwards. So in summary, yes it's very expensive for what you get, however it does work, and will saves me having to fill a green bin with grass this summer - and save me having to use as much lawn feed. Would I recommend it yes - even though I paid over ÂŁ28 for it! Update 23 July. Just note that this doesn't work very well if the grass is wet or very long! Best used when lawn is dry... Tends to clog up otherwise...

This wonderful simplistic peice of plastic does exactly what it says ...
I am a disabled person and have not been able to go my own gardening for years as the Bosh came with a bucket which makes it to heavy to push! DO NOT LET THIS SIMPLISTIC PIECE OF PLASTIC FOOL YOU! This wonderful simplistic peice of plastic does exactly what it says on the box or in the discription. With no heavy box on the back !!! It chops the grass into a fine mulch that then spreads deep down at the bace of the grass. Not even the dogs drag the cuttings into the house as it doesn't lay on top!!! Best of all, I mowed my own garden, Spinal Injury and all....That was the first time since 2012! GO ME! and the guy or gal who invented this should be put up for a Knight Hood! Next time my daughter comes over, I will let her have a go as well and she has C.P. and has always wanted to help in the garden, Just wait when I tell her she can now use the mower! I would give it 50 star's if I could as it has given me me my independance back. I know that may sound dumb, but think how you would feel if your where told "Your not allowed to do your garden!" It breaks your heart. A Huge thank-you to the human you invented this, it's brillant!

BEWARE
I found out after I had purchased this item that the necessary cutting height for it to work as a mulcher is far higher than I usually cut my grass. My usual cutting level on my Rotak 43 is setting 2, yet the cutting height stated on the box is setting 5.5, far too high for me. There is nothing about this height mentioned anywhere in the information about it prior to purchase. I feel deceived, as I would not have purchased this item if I had known this beforehand. It seems very suspicious to me that this information is deliberately omitted as not to put people off buying this item. Once purchased, you are stuck with it. I imagine it would actually would mulch as stated if you are happy to keep your grass long.

Great improvement to my gardening workflow
Lawn clippings have always been a bugbear- I'd either chuck them in my council garden waste bin, or compost bin- either way, they'd go slimy & stinky in a few days, no matter how much I mixed them up. Then, my garden waste collection stopped, becuase of the Covid19 lockdown. So, I decided, when I cut my lawn, to just distribute the clippings back there, to let them dry out, but then have the hassle of collecting them later. Anyone that claims that this Multi-Mulch attachment is "like just leaving the collection basket off" is plain wrong. If you apply the regular cuttings back on the lawn, you'll have at least a bin-liner's worth of debris to collect. With this attachment, the clippings are invisibly distributed. Such a brilliant time-saver- ÂŁ25 ish to never have to process your grass clippings, AND feed your lawn at the same time? Fantastic

A lot bigger than the picture seems to imply
This arrived in a box about 18 inches square and ten inches high. At first I thought that this was some of the (usual) Amazon overpacking. However, this unit is large and is the full width of the grassbox that it replaces. In use, you have to set the cut height very high (5.5 on the scale), thus it leaves the grass fairly long. Having said that, the length and the forcing down of cutting mean that the grass should be fairly tolerant of dry conditions in summer. I must admit that my main reason for buying it wasn't this. Basically, the green waste bin often gets completely full when I have been mowing the lawn followed by some hedge cutting. I wanted this as an alternate way of cutting the grass without having to dispose of the cutting. At this it does excel. Some, depending on your reason, this might be a good solution for you, but only if you want to leave, or are prepared to leave, your grass quite long.

Possibly the most useless thing I have ever purchased in my life.
This "device" is not only ridiculously expensive for what it is (£25 or more for a piece of molded plastic) but it doesn’t seem to do anything worthwhile. I get the idea: this “flap” replaces the grass box and the cuttings collect behind it and then fall back into the mower blades to be chopped up more finely and then land back on the lawn – but I think just leaving the grass box off so that the built-in cover flap on the mower covers most of the same area would work just as well (or as badly). Alternatively, you could tape a piece of cardboard across the area and get the same sort of results (and save yourself £25). I sent mine back.

Funciona bien.

Have just finished our first mow using this attachment and results have exceeded expectations. We recently took over a property with a large lawn and the grass was over a foot high when we took delivery of our new Rotak 43li did an initial cut at level 5 with the catcher. The grass looked pretty good at that length but we had filled a large garden bag with the clippings and using the catcher added a lot of time to the job and weight to the otherwise very light mower. On our second cut we took it down to level 4 with a very nice result, but again too much time, waste and effort with the catcher. The mulching kit arrived shortly after and I actually looked forward to the next mow to see how it would go. It attached very simply and gave the mower a nice profile at the back. I was hesitant to keep the mower down at level 4 but decided to give it a go and am delighted that it works excellently at such a low level (the box recommended 70mm lawn and 20mm cut). There is no way a casual observer could tell the lawn had been mulched rather than mowed with a catcher, and our mowing time has been cut in half and allowed us to do the entire 700sqm on less than one battery charge.
