Can you hook up a four Channel amplifier and a subwoofer with this

You certainly can…with great sound quality as well.

Can I use this for home theater receiver with no pre-out rca?

I do not believe so it's for a 12v system but im sure there is something similar to this for home theater system. You are on the right track though.

I have an onkyo avr that doesn't have preouts on it. can this be used to run speaker level out from the receiver to low level input on this?

I believe so. Ast long as you can access the speaker wires to splice into.
