So what does this do to the oil? Your engine? And how does it help a 6.4 liter power stroke?

Auto stores around me have a demonstration kiosk with a clear acrylic box with two sets of gears. The 4 or 5 gears are stacked on top of each other with the teeth engaged. You can see the Lucas treated oil would almost climb up the gears, where as the other set was regular oil, which drains off the gears much quicker. Its pretty plain that it changes the way it adheres to metals. The entire benefit of this is a decrease in engine friction. It most likely forms a better bond with moving parts. I feel like it would benefit any engine.

I do not add this as a fuel treatment. Only in my engine oil. Lucas does make a fuel treatment and I do use that in my gas tank.

What is the difference between this and the lucas 10001 heavy duty oil stabilizer?

Price. The LUC10130 is good enough. I’ve used it for years. My town car is very near 300k miles (same engine, no rebuild) and I attribute it to good maintenance and Lucas. Hope this helps.

does using lucas oil pure synthetic oil stabilizer help with any start up rattle noise and or any knocking noise ?

Had start up noise on my 2013 Hyundai Santa GLS, dealer says it's nothing but engine fuel pump, GDI on top of valve cover (@500.00) making noise , common on GDI systems after I asked @. 90000 I am still running 5W-20 full synthetic mobile 1 . changed oil /filter put in quart of this guess what...be 5500 + miles and still no noise ....saved me from changing that part...and even when I have to stomp down on still no noise...:) : )

Highly recommended for high milege drivers.

Based on previous experience. I find this product, used correctly, along with the Lucas fuel conditioner, reduces oil consumption, fuel consumption, (especially on long journeys), and helps protect the engine at extreme temperatures. It also seems to help starting the engine at sub-zero temperatures. This version, for engines which require fully synthetic lubrication, is preferable to the non-synthetic version. I use it also in the wife's 1.6 Turbo DS3. Buying in this size, rather than the smaller containers represents a significant saving... ! Edit. Forgot to mention, If you use these products before an MOT, you're much more likely to get a good result on the emissions test.
