Mannesmann Universal Tool Set (89 Pieces)

This is a well put together tool kit. I keep this handy in the kitchen as I am always messing about with something and always need a tool of some description! Good selection of commonly used tools and well made. Only minor issue is the tools fit pretty tightly into the case, so removing them requires a bit of force. But at least you know that the tools will stay put when you close the case! If you are looking for a neat and handy toolkit for around the home, then this ticks all the boxes.

Very pleased with this, reviewed 50+ kits before picking this one. Great value, good quality comprehensive kit. Purchased for my Sister in Law for her first home. She has no tools at all and this kit will cover all the jobs she is likely to encounter and most any visiting friends or Brother in Laws might pick up for her. Life long kit that will also be very useful at future properties.

A good starter toolkit for our son.

A good set of tools for household use. Enough tools so that when doing things such as putting together flat-pack furniture, two people can be working at the same time. Seem to be good quality, and tools are comfortable in the hand (the set of tools we used before purchasing this one resulted in blisters very quickly). Being able to turn the smaller screwdrivers without the bit in the palm of you hand turning is simply brilliant. I have been getting a house ready for an elderly relative to move in to. This set of tools has contained everything I have required so far (I’m not doing the decoration, but I wouldn’t expect a set like this to contain decorating tools). Highly recommended.

It's a very useful set of hand tools in a convenient slimline carry case. So far the only omission that I've noticed is the lack of a sidecutter (wire snip), but I bought one of these separately & have managed to squeeze it in to the case, so problem solved. Not yet used all the tools, but I have used a lot of them & they seem to be of reasonable quality & build, so I do recommend this set.

I have been using these tools for over a month and have had no problems. They seem to be well made and robust and the case is adequate. This set is not for the professional but is entirely adequate for handy work around the home. No set will have all the items required but the selection in this set covers most routine use. Recommended without hesitation.

The tools are great in this kit but the plastic box is poor. The box arrived with one of the clips broken. It’s impossible to fix it.

Talking about the tools, I have been using them for 3 years, and it has saved me several times of its price money and also time. The tool set is fairly complete for home and light work applications. The quality is not super, but good enough for the price. I absolutely recommend it. The main drawback of this product is the plastic case. From inside, some holder places may get loose over time and therefore when you open the case some items may drop. For me, however, this is not serious and only 2-3 item holders are a bit loose. The major problem is related with the outside of the box, with the plastic locks, which no matter how you maintain the case after 1-2 years they break, as you see in the first and second picture. Therefore, the case door may open up when you lift it, causing the tools to drop outside. After thinking a while, I found a nice solution for this problem. As you can see in the next pictures, I ordered Steel Tension Locks from amazon and attached them to the case, and voila! It works like a charm and is way better and robuster than the original plastic doors. The locks can easily be opened and locked again, guaranteeing nothing will drop out while carrying the box. I recommend you to do the same. You can find these kinds of locks easily in many stores or amazon for a price of around 8€ for a set of 4. They can be installed on the plastic case with the screws that come with. Don't forget to use also some glues to make it tighter, when installing. As a tip, I recommend you to first install the moveable part of the lock and then the fixed part.
