Amazing get it get it!! Worth every penny
Amazing get it get it!! Worth every penny. I’ve added this in my cart for 2 years I had to close my eyes and purchase. It plays my Apple Music, it has Spotify app, it has free games my son can play, it has Netflix apps, planner app, it can connect my device from a 3rd party movie app I mean just functional in all different ways. The picture is amazing. One thing though is if you want to use some apps on there you have to agree to share you data or something but you can disagree for limited use. I care less for those other apps. But everything else is amazing.

Love this TV 🥰
Love it, this was a bday gift for my mom but the kids took over 😂 you can connect gaming systems on it like ps5 and Xbox etc and it’s also great for watching movies or tv. Easy to move around and perfect for small spaces.

Wow!
I bought (or shall I say, "splurged" for) this as it was purchased as a want as opposed to a need. Nevertheless, I am so beyond happy with this purchase. It arrived quickly and packaged well. It is kind of heavy. Even being a female who is in physically good shape, getting this into my car took some doing by myself. Nevertheless, mission accomplished :-). There are just two pieces (sans the power cord) that need to be put together -- The base and the screen. The base is why this item is so heavy. Obviously, it comes with instructions; still I missed a step with the cord that connects the monitor to the base, and it required removing the monitor in order to fix it. Normally, I am better at reading/looking at something on paper in order to understand what it is that I am studying. However, that was not the case with this item. I should have used YouTube as my guide because once I locked the monitor onto the base, I could not, based on the instructions, figure out how to remove it. I pulled up a YouTube video that showed me how to remove the monitor as well as showed me where I went wrong with the power cord. I mention this because that is the only part of the assembly that you want to make sure you get right. It's so you're able to hide the cord. Otherwise, for those who are not directionally challenged such as myself :-), it should take no more than 10 mins to put together after unboxing, less if you're not doing it by yourself. Connecting to my home network was a breeze and the picture is beautiful. I was not expecting the picture quality to be so vivid, but it is. The home screen is easy to navigate and while it is a touchscreen, when I am watching YouTube TV, if I touch the screen and pause a video, I cannot start the program again from the touch screen. I might be doing something wrong, but I have to use the remote to re-start the video. No big deal, but I need to keep researching this. Of course, one of the best features is its mobility. It rolls easily (I have hardwood floors so not sure how well it would do on low-pile carpet) and arranging the screen from horizontal to vertical is effortless. It's also great that I can pair my earbuds with the unit so when I am in the kitchen, and need to move about, I can still hear what is going on even if I cannot see it. That feature alone works for me because you don't have to worry about the volume disturbing others. There is only ONE con and that is the battery life. I can get about 2.5, maybe 3 hours of video watching before I need to charge it again. I do not know why, but I was expecting longer. Still, it is not an issue at all and I would buy this item again and again. Highly recommend.

Watching K-Dramas while taking a bath.
I received this LG StanbyMe as a gift for my birthday and I have been enjoying the heck out of it. It's been so awesome being able to roll this little TV around while I'm watching my shows. It's so funny but this mobile TV is so fun to use. I want to share it with the world how awesome it is. Here's a pic of watching a Kdrama from my bathtub haha. (SO extra, but idc) Few things to note: - It holds a charge for 2-3 hours so you do not need to keep it plugged in. You can take it outside and hangout on your backyard, patio etc. - It's touchscreen which is awesome! (some apps don't function well with it though so I sometimes prefer to still use a remote) - There are a few ways to control the TV. Touchscreen, Physical Remote Controller, Phone Remote Controller. (I like using my phone because there are different ways to control the screen) - Apps: There is a really cool gaming app where you can play games through Luna App which is Amazon's Cloud gaming service. I was able to play assassins creed directly on the TV which was pretty interesting! - It turns vertically which is cool if you want to mirror your phone. You can mirror your phone to watch IG Reels/TikTok Videos, make a FaceTime call-- etc. Maybe even would help to read books or recipes. - It's weighted at the bottom so the StanbyMe does not feel flimsy or like it's going to tip over at all. - The TV itself feels pretty fast/responsive. I have another LG TV in our living room but I feel like my StanbyMe feels like it loads everything faster and almost looks better? Maybe it just feels that way but my BF was also saying the same thing. - You can easily mirror your laptop so if you would like a second monitor to work off that you can roll around your house, this works pretty nicely for that. - I also like to hook up my Nintendo Switch up to the monitor and play games in the living room with this! Such a fun and useful TV. I really love this gift and use it as much as possible.

Design vs. Functionality. What is more important to you?
There are so many reviews on this, so will skip to the bottom line. There are so many other brands that are more functional or cheaper, so why would you choose the LG StanbyMe. For the price of this LG, you can buy one with 4K resolution and longer battery lift. Negative thing about LG: - 1080P resolution. Come on. Yes, you can see pixels..depending on what you are watching. Don't expect qualities from iPads/iPhone. - Takes about 10-15 seconds before streaming video buffer catches up on resolution, even at wifi speed of 500-700MBPS. My guess is that the wifi on it is not the latest. - Battery does last about 2 hrs, but short vs. other brands. - It's on LG WebOS, no access to Google Store. Apps are limited to what LG WebOs has, but big apps are available. - Touch screen usefulness is...lacking. Other than Youtube, need to use the remote or virtual remote on the screen to navigate. Other apps are not designed for touch interface. - Not a tablet set up as with other brands. - No true VPN service/app. There are 2 VPN apps available, but after reading what it does....wouldn't recommend it for anyone. - Not LG monitor that can be used for photo/video color editing....not that level. Good things: - Definitely the design. From the front, not much difference as other brands, but back of the monitor is definitely an advantage. Other brands looks like they mounted regular computer monitor on stand. The fabric back and design of the back side of LG definitely is more elegant and nice to look at. It does not look like it's any monitor just stock on the pole. Color and adjustable mount (G4 iMac copy) is definitely more elegant than other brand. - Sound is good enough...definitely better than what you get from computer monitor. There is AI option for the sound that give more of a surround sounds. Nice touch on that one. - More likely to have updated OS. Other brands are not "certified" or blessed/ EDLA android/google store. The likelihood of those brands not being updated is really high and not all apps from Google Store will work on those. There is more chance that LG will keep their WebOS updated and supporting Apps will work. It's same WebOS that LG has on the other monitors. -LG TV Channel app allows you to watch TV channels...there are tons of channels including local channel access. -Airplay works like a charm. Many of other brands on "unblessed" Android/Google Store will not airplay/stream Hulu/Disney. Works fine on LG. You can definitely get 4K monitor, better battery time, and real tablet function from other brands. LG StandbyMe's advantage is really the design and WebOS. It's not a true tablet interface and has limited apps. However, it will more likely to have continuous support vs. other brands. Even on sale, LG was about $800. It should really cost that much on regular price. Regular price of $1000-$1200 with 4K resolution and 4 hr battery would make more sense. Touch screen function is not there, so you could actually make one (as done by many in Korea where LG is from), buying the portable stand, battery, and Samsung 4K 27-32 inch M8/M6 monitor. Not going to look pretty, but will give you better function, resolution, and usefulness. LG StanbyMe is like an Apple product. Design is well done and high point of the product...expensive but more likely to last longer than other brands. Functionality and customization may be lacking or less than other brands, but it just works. If you are going to buy it, DO NOT buy it at regular price.

Don’t buy
Loved this tv and bought the protection plan however the protection plan is a scam and false advertising. It won’t cover damage to the tv. Complete waste of money to buy a portable tv that you can’t use a protection plan with. It’s PORTABLE

TikTok Was Right, This Monitor is a Game Changer!
Okay, let's be real—I bought this LG 27-Inch StanbyMe Touch-Screen Monitor because I saw it on TikTok and it looked amazing. And guess what? It's everything I hoped for and more. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, though I gotta say, the base is heavier than I expected. But once you get past that, it's all smooth sailing. The touch screen is what dreams are made of. It responds to my every swipe and tap. If I get lazy, I am able to sit on my chair and use the remote that came with the monitor to navigate the screen. Watching videos and scrolling through documents has never looked better, thanks to the huge 27-inch monitor and stunning 1080p resolution. It's like my digital world just got a major upgrade. Moving this portable monitor around the house is a breeze, despite the hefty base. It's actually a good thing because it means the monitor stays put wherever I decide to park it. From the bedroom to the living room, it fits in perfectly, not just functionally but aesthetically too. Now, I did have a bit of a moment trying to get the screen share to work, but I'm chalking that up to me possibly missing a step somewhere. I'm determined to figure it out, though, so I'll keep you posted with any updates on that front. The Price Tag: It is currently marked at $996.99. which makes this a huge investment. Thankfully, I did opt to pay with the Affirm option, allowing me to pay off that hefty price tag over time. Besides using this montior for scrolling through Tik Tok, I have used it to review my class assignments, stream Movies off, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple TV, and Amazon Prime, YouTube and Browsing the Web so I do feel that I am getting my moneyʻs worth with this investment. Honestly, seeing this monitor in action on TikTok and now having it in my own space has been surreal. It's not just a gadget; it's become a central piece of my daily life, whether I'm working or just chilling out. If you're on the fence because you saw it online and aren't sure if it's as good as it looks, let me tell you—it is. Absolutely no regrets here!
