Val Kilner Jars.. Great Quality
What's not to like about Val Kilner jars! Great quality and assurance of a good seal for canning... I bought these for a variety of reasons... Pickled eggs, storing dried onions and even home-made wine, pickles etc. Why not! The list is endless and they hold 1L so plenty of room... you can also vacuum seal the lids, yes there is such a machine to do this, so should keep things even longer.. it's a win win 🏆

Perfect for preserving food
Easy to use and up until now they seem to be the best for preserving meat. As we expect power cuts, I made some meat preserve in those jars as I suspect our freezer will not be a great choice through this winter. The lid of the jars allowed the hot air to leave the jar during sterilisation and preparation of the preserve so now there is a lower pressure in the jar comparing with the environment. They are easy to open by hand and the food was exactly as expected when I opened one jar one month later. Very pleased with my purchase.

The price has increased
Good, I want to buy it again, but I found that the price has increased. It was very expensive before, so I hesitated.

Strong, good size
I purchased these so many years ago and they are still going strong, very sturdy. I didn't use them to store food so i couldn't give a review for this, I actually use them to store pens, pencils etc in my craft room.

Bought some from the high street to try first
These are good will come well packed and cheaper then high street cannot complain. Good 1 L size and glass jars no issues with cross contamination or tainting of flavour or colours
