Love it! Looks awesome on my bookshelf. Spins faster when it’s sunny and spins nice and slow with dim lighting. Update: After a couple years the globe developed an air bubble. Takes away the magic of it all. =\

It's a cool desktop toy and does rotate in response to light exposure. My only critique is that the planet "surface" is clearly printed by an inkjet printer which for the price, should not be as obvious. Otherwise, it's pretty cool.

I really Love these Globes..soothing to watch and I get compliments all the time...Yes there is a slightly visible line around the globe where they seal the two halves together...just line it up around the equator it is not that bad...3-D graphics would be the bomb on these and hopefully there next generation ...but if you think these are expensive now ...Yeah...So over all I love them...my collection is growing so maybe a Christmas gift to myself... Bought this because I saw them in the background of 'The Quartering' and thought they looked really cool and liked how they slowly turned. Was always curious how they did that. It says in the literature that came with it that it works by light. Figured I live in Arizona, so have plenty of light should work fine. Nope, sunlight did not work, I turned on lights in the room it helped but I cannot just leave the lights on all the time. So I bought a flat LED cabinet light and placed it right underneath the acrylic base, I waited and waited. It moved a tiny bit to the right, then a tiny bit to the left and that was it. The only way I can get it to turn is to shine a flashlight on one side of it and it will turn in that direction. Ugh... What a disappointment. Looks cool but does nothing...

Ok c'est très cher mais qu'est-ce que c'est beau qu'est-ce que c'est agréable de voir tourner ses globes par eux-mêmes quand la luminosité est suffisante les détails des planètes sont assez bien fait nous possédons aussi Jupiter et Mars dans la même déclinaison de taille c'est très apaisant. Bon s'il doit y avoir un point négatif c'est que cela prend la poussière assez facilement et que c'est extrêmement cher à part ça c'est un objet de déco vraiment sublime de plus le détail des planètes est tout de même assez extraordinaire et très proche de la réalité pour les amoureux du monde de l'éther je recommande vivement ! ^^

Este es el segundo que compro. Siempre que llega un invitado les llama la atención como gira solo. El mecanismo que tienen es muy interesante por el magnetismo y la rotación de la tierra, siempre es un tema de conversación. La base es muy bonita y da el efecto de que esta flotando. El color de Venus es brillante queda muy bien en cualquier lado de la casa y resalta un poco. El otro que tengo es Mercurio el color es gris café claro y se llega a perder de la vista. Los dos me encantan.
