Great environmentally friendly solution
The butt is well made (fits the corresponding stand very well - see my other review), and fills up in no time when combined with the right diverter kit, 250l is about the right size to water our garden a couple of time during summer months, and came in handy during the 2018 heatwave. A couple of tips: - Don't forget to buy a silver disc (see my other review on Amazon) to keep your water clear and the algae out of your tank - one disc has proved to be sufficient for this size of disc - The joint between the pipe work on the diverter leaked not long after installation and needed a bit of a 'hack' to stop it from leaking so I used clear bathroom silicone between the plastic screw and the fitting that sits on the inside of the butt. - I also used a bit bicycle inner tube (see my other review for the correct size of inner tube used) which was cut down and coated in silicone grease to provide a water tight seal between the corrugated hose and the fitting (when coated in silicone grease it forms a cured seal and bond between hose and fitting on the tank) - Don't forget to leave your butt open in winter - otherwise the water inside will expand and crack your tank...but keep a little water in the bottom to stop it blowing over in high winds - I connected a hose to the tap on my butt, and secured this with a small jubilee clip. I also jammed some mesh into the end of the hose to prevent critters climb up the hose and into the tank during winter months. The mesh doesn't need to be removed if you use a watering can as I do (there won't be enough pressure generated by the tank for a long hose). All in all a fiddlier than expected installation, but very pleased with the results in the end and thoroughly recommended purchase.

Very satisfactory
It was just right for my application. The plastic tap is supplied loose inside. The lid clips into position and needs to be levered off with a large screwdriver or cold chisel and snaps back securely.

Quite flimsy
This is quite flimsy and not as robust as my first water butt. However, it is slimline which is why I bought it. It is tall as a consequence of being slimline so be careful if you plan to marry this up with another water butt.

Big water butt which takes up very little space!
I have a few water butts in my garden and particularly like this one. It's a sort of square shape which makes it easier to stick in a corner. I've concealed mine with a couple of trellis panels (the ones with horizontal slats, not the diamond shape) joined together with two small hinges, so I can hinge one of the panels out of the way whenever I need to get at the water butt, and it's worked a treat. I was really pleased with how quickly it filled up too, and with how solid and sturdy it feels now it's full. I don't worry that it will tip over, for example, as the smaller water butts I have always seem at risk of tipping. Overall I am very pleased I bought this, plus a base for it which is an essential if you want to be able to use the tap at the bottom. Very pleased.

Great product
I had quite a thin location in which to fit a water butt, between a side gate and a back door, so was looking for a thinner product. This fitted the bill well, and is of high quality. Delivered well packaged by Amazon, the installation was easy - only downside was a windy first night, so put some water in the bottom of it to stop it meandering around your garden. A side benefit of it being thin is the resultant height, and with a sloped garden going upwards away from the location, the higher top height/higher top water point means that I have no need for an extra pump to get water right to the top of the garden.

There are no guarantees on the water butts other than they are fit for purpose when delivered
For some reason the text of my review does not appear. I am hoping to get a replacement water butt following the collapse of this one. I have taken advice and this has confirmed what I believed to be correct. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. My rights have been breached because the water butt was faulty. I did not misuse the product - it was working perfectly well for many months therefore it was correctly installed. Secondly the many reviews which are published show poor quality plastic in particular the wall thickness in certain places. It is for these reasons especially that I am due a replacement or refund. I am left with the message - Hi Unfortunately, there are no guarantees on the water butts other than they are fit for purpose when delivered. Kind Regards Status Car Care

OK if it arrives with the tap intact
The water butt itself is fairly sturdy and is up to the job. The problem with it is its integral moulded tap. It came broken off, and had been thrown into the butt. It was unusable, and also the design made it impossible to fit a normal water butt tap. As I was intending to use a pump anyway, I rammed a bung into the hole to seal it. Most people would however have sent it back. The integral tap is a bad design fault - but I can see why they have used it, because the butt is so tall that people could not get inside it to screw on the locking ring of a normal water butt tap. If it arrives with the tap still intact, this water butt is perfectly usable.
