I really like this face scrub... it feels very "natural" and not like the full of "plastic beads" types. It's not as fine and sandy in texture like the Clinique face scrub (previous favourite - but very expensive). Or as "washy" as the Clarins scrubs... it kind of sits nicely between the two, but really feels like a premium product. Exfoliates without being too abrasive or drying out the skin - quite the opposite, its quite moisturising. I've always had a good regime from a young age (clean and clear and baby lotion until i hit my 40s!). I still use the clean and clear (sensitive) and a slightly lighter moisturiser (although baby lotion does still make an appearance!). Now in my 50s but no-one believes me! It definitely makes a difference and I really like this scrub within my daily/weekly regime (i use a couple of times a week). I also really like the fact that it uses natural finely grained olive stones for the exfoliating process. For the money, you really can't go wrong! My only gripe is I wish the bottle was a little more malleable, so that you don't have to wrestle the last bits out when you get to the end of the tube! Otherwise I love it and definitely recommend!

I am one of those gentlemen that are of the generation to have started using facial male grooming products since my teenage years; mostly on advice from my mother who warned me about not taking full advantage of the market until it is too late to see any improvement in later years. Since initially beginning with the universal Clearasil-esque products in the attempt to clear up some childhood acne, I have looked at a vast array of products over the years in all areas of male grooming, including facial washes/scrubs, antiperspirant deodorants, aftershave balms, ab toners, eye creams and facial moisturisers, amongst other such items available on the ever-increasing market nowadays. There's nothing much else to do but try to experiment with these products and see what is best for you. However, I seemed to grasp an overall liking for scrubbing facial washes that incorporate a bit more power with their exfoliating properties; making for a more refreshed feeling to wake your face up. It is of importance here to note the difference between facial washes that can be used twice daily as part of a facial cleansing routine, and a facial scrub, which is a bit more firmer, and is recommended for usage once or twice a week in order to more deeply exfoliate the skin. The ManCave Face Scrub (100ml) is such a product that states is meant to be used for men of all facial skin types; best to be used before shaving if needs be and preferably after wetting the face and neck area. The scrub itself incorporates Vitamin E, horse chestnut extract, Aloe Vera and grapeseed oil as active ingredients and is intended to hydrate and energise your skin. It primarily uses fine-grained olive stones to remove dead skin cells during the exfoliating process, whilst the horse chestnut extract helps to prevent damage caused by any ingrown hairs. Plus, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of these emollient ingredients purportedly aid in delaying the skin ageing process caused by free radicals. Intended to be used approximately twice weekly, the ManCave Face Scrub is a natural defence hydration for men's skin of all ages. Upon wetting the neck and face area, it is be massaged well in circular motions, then rinsed off fully with warm water. This ensures that the olive stones used to exfoliate the skin leaves your skin feeling deeply refreshed, which is especially handy before shaving as it removes and renews dead skin cells for a smooth facial area. I must say that the ManCave product range hasn't disappointed me yet, having already used their face wash, moisturiser, shampoo, conditioner and hair styling cream. This 100ml all-natural face scrub is a great addition when used in conjunction with the aforementioned face wash and moisturiser, and I would certainly recommend adding it to your weekly skincare regime to leave your skin feeling naturally hydrated and refreshed.

Top notch, lathers up well and the scrub element, the little bits in the gell so their job. Don't need to use much and it's worth the money paid.

Really loving this product so far. My skin is quite sensitive to the various chemical agents that are added to personal grooming products so it is a relief to find this product has not caused any irritation or rashes whatsoever. It has a pleasant but not overpowering aroma, which is suitably "manly" and doesn't leave you smelling like someone who has tested evey fragrance in the perfume shop! The particles are suitably 'scrubby' without feeling like you are flaying your skin with coarse grit sandpaper and are carried in a smooth, thick paste that squeezes nicely from the tube without squirting messily all up your arm and over enamelware and tiles! Once massaged into wet skin it does not overly foam up and a small amount goes a long way. Once rinsed off, it leaves your skin feeling smooth, soft and deeply cleansed. There is no oily residue nor any taught dryness either. Overall skin tone looks better since I started using this and would definitely buy some more when this tube runs out.

Love the smell of this product and it does the job but, my God!! It's difficult to get the scrub out of the tube.Bigger hole tubes ManCave please.

Not very often you come across a product that works as well as you'd hope that's also not full of chemicals. Reading the ingredients it's clear most of it is natural ingredients and oils. I needed something that would get rid of my blackheads and smooth my skin out a bit and this works perfectly for it. There's not much of a fragrance to it. It smells just like a cream i suppose? Really fine bits of scrub in it so it doesn't feel like it's scratching away at your face. Instead it's a gentle scrub that builds to a good lather and then wiped away easily! I'd recommend giving it a go! Bonus that it's cruelty free and the exfoliating parts of it won't harm the environment as they're natural!

I've tried a few other face scrubs, and all have pros/cons. This one seems to be a bit better for people with skin that easily drys out (like mine). You only need a tiny amount, rub it around your fingers (dampen your hands and face before you start), and the product can go a long way. It's packed with small granules (sand maybe?) which help remove any surface build up. My one big pro is: your face actually feels notably more moisturized than with other face scrubs that I've used. Keep in mind once you use ANY face scrub, you should probably apply some sort of moisturizer/lotion immediately after (it helps remove oils, so inevitably your skin will be temporarily dry), but I've noticed this was much less harsh on my skin than others I've used. One slight con (not such a big deal) is the scent. A bit weird, but not a big deal. Smells very much like oatmeal and vanilla/sugar. Some people (like myself), have sensitive noses, so some strong scents can be annoying. However, it's very temporary and goes away within a few minutes after washing your face. Overall, I would recommend the product. Despite a strong perfume-ey smell, it does a great job and feels great on my skin. Also tip for people new to the face-cleaning routine: Only use Face Scrubs once or twice a week. (so spread out the days you use them). Overuse will result in damaging your skin in/severe dryness. Also, it is BEST to use a scrub immediately after cleaning your face. So after running warm water on your face and using a Daily Face Wash/Cleaner, THEN use the Face Scrub. Not before.

I have received this product and now used it a few times, which allows me to give it a comparable review to other ones I have tried. I think the scent is awesome, and it felt great on my face. I much prefer it to any brand that Safeway sells, and any other grocery store brand. I would say I would pay 15$ for this again in the future. I bought other man cave products Which I will be reviewing as well. I paid full price for this product.
