Product Description The Fame is the debut album by American pop singer Lady GaGa. Taking her name from the legendary Queen song "Radio GaGa", her album is a fusion of futuristic pop beats and retro rock stylings. Working with a host of talented producers (Space Cowboy, RedOne, Brian Kierluf) this is the sound of modern pop. Includes the singles "Just Dance", "Poker Face" and "The Fame". desertcart.co.uk No one can accuse a singer who titles her first solo record The Fameof hiding her motives, and as an exercise designed to make a pop star out of the woman previously known as Stefani Joanne Germanotta, it succeeds perfectly. There is plenty more to Germanotta than the super-stylised, cosmetically reworked face she presents to the world. For all the Paris Hilton-esque bimbo role-playing, Lady GaGa is a product of New York’s knowing downtown art/dance scene. So it’s no surprise to find that The Fame is a witty take on contemporary pop values, at times cruelly sarcastic ("Paparazzi" blatantly flirts with the same snappers who drove Britney over the brink). It’s as shameless as Pussycat Dolls (she has already penned tunes for them), as crass and kiddie-friendly as anything Black-Eyed Peas might concoct, and as generation-defying as her obvious inspiration Madonna. In short, The Fame is built to sell, and tunes like the chart-topping single "Just Dance", the amusingly stupid "Boys Boys Boys" (supposedly a tribute to Motley Crue’s equally dumb "Girls Girls Girls") and the brutal materialism of "Money Honey", "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich" and the title track seduce the ear rather than impress the intellect. Smarter than it first appears, The Fame might be the start of a long and interesting career or it could prove to be a flash in the pan, but it’s easy to tell why it sells. --Steve Jelbert Review: excellent album - excellent album Review: Fabulous - Great album for the money honey

Fame Is Sure To Come!
Lady GaGa was a new name to me and to be honest initially I passed her off as one of those one-hit dance wonders, who would be gone soon. In fact I bought her album on very much of a whim-not even really having heard her smash hit 'Just Dance'. It was therefore with great surprise that I listened to the album and found that generally I liked what I heard. It's definitely not perfect, but it is certainly very contemporary and a great fun album! The success she's had is nothing short of astounding, but it is definitely deserved! 1.Just Dance-The sensational first single, which propelled her to stardom, insatiably catchy! Fantastic! 10/10 2.LoveGame-It's taken a while for me to get into this one, but now I can definitely see its merits, despite its risque lyrics! 8/10 3.Paparazzi-One of my initial faves-a great song. 9/10 4.Poker Face-The second single and another unstoppable success. I like it, but it's not my favourite here. 8/10 5.I Like It Rough-When thinking of the album this song doesn't necessarily spring to mind, but it is actually a good solid number. 8/10 6.Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)-I love this song, but I can see why some maybe wouldn't. Very sleek! 10/10 7.Starstruck-This is pretty generic electro-pop. Not so keen. 6/10 8.Beautiful, Dirty, Rich.-Not my favourite, but its pretty OK. 7/10 9.The Fame-This is a great song, very catchy and cracking lyrics. 9/10 10.Money Honey-A definite album track-its not bad, just not amazing. 7/10 11.Boys Boys Boys-This has to be the weakest track of the collection, the lyrics are banal and the tune is sub-standard. 5/10 12.Paper Gangsta-This is one of my favourite tracks, a great piano-bopping melody! 10/10 13.Brown Eyes-A Gwen Stefani style ballad-pure class! 9/10 14.Summerboy-A nice light tune, which is really pretty good. 8/10 15.Disco Heaven-The vocals on this are appealing, as they sound quite different from on other tracks. 8/10 16.Again, Again-This is good, rather than great. OK. 7/10 Definitely recommended even for those non-converts (there must be a few left out there). It'll be really, really interesting to see how she progresses in the future, because if this album is anything to go by she could be around for a long time to come!

Gaga For The Fame...
Lady Gaga's debut The Fame has to one of the greatest twenty-first century albums so far and one of the greatest electro - pop albums ever. That isn't an understatement its a fact. The album hardly left the charts in 2008 and went platinum multiple times across the globe. The album yes did had some fillers but the whole album as a collective changed the music industry as a whole. The singles Just Dance,Poker Face,LoveGame,Paparazzi and Eh,Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) are amazingly catchy bops with at the time an innovative euro-dance sound which was not heard of in the industry so far.Other tracks like Paper Gangsta,Again And Again and Brown Eyes also proved Gaga was a talented musician and Lyricist. My personal favorites are I Like It Rough,Summerboy and the daft but fun Boys Boys Boy. Fast Delivery and the inlay, disc, and jewel case were in excellent condition.....
