Direct replacement and so easy to install
Direct replacement for the OEM struts that cracked and failed after 10 years. The dealer wanted $250 to replace these. It cost me $15 for the parts and 5 minutes of time.

Decent quality, but not a perfect fit.
These struts were a replacement for our Infiniti Q70S. They are easy to install, but are just a little short in that when you open the trunk and let it go, it reaches the end of its travel and clunks as it snaps back to where the struts again provide tension. This, in turn, causes the tops to slightly unscrew, making the whole strut less stable. The OEM struts are all one piece so the tops donโt unscrew with use. So, tightening the struts up and not letting go of them when we open the trunk seems to work well enough. These struts are probably made for another application and fit close enough that the seller says they will fit the Infiniti Q70S. Would I buy them again, no, I would look for another brand that perhaps fits better. Update (July 26): A few days after the return window closed (on July 16), one of the struts broke. It looks as if the threads that hold the bottom ball joint connector to the support rod have stripped (please see photo), leaving the rod useless. Worse yet, if I didn't catch this so soon the threaded rod end would have become exposed when the ball joint connector came off completely--potentially damaging the car or causing injury. I would not recommend buying these trunk supports for this reason.
