Are there other lengths of the same cable? 4ft is too short for me.

Is this 8 feet each or 4 feet x 2

There are 2 cables in the order. When you order, there are three selections for length: 1.48 feet, 4 feet, or 8 feet. These lengths are per cable. The price goes up a few dollars as the length increases. I suggest the 8 foot selection. If it is too long you can always coil and tie the excess.

Will this allow us answer phone calls?

I use it to hook up a dvd player to my sound system. I bluetooth my cell to this system which allows my phone to ring thru the sound system. I have not hooked this cable directly to my cell and to my sound system. But I have headphones that I hook to my cell and Yes I can answer my cell thru the headphones. Hope this helps.
