Infra red sensor to boost signal from behind tv
Brilliant infra red sensor. Installed a media wall with soundbar behind the tv hence, needed this to boost the ability to control the soundbar. This works brilliantly. Range is very good and signal strength works well. It’s easy to install and use. Only downside is comment is the sticky back is not sticky enough to secure hence, I used additional double sided tape which has done the job just fine. Really reasonably priced and fast delivery. Highly recommend. I’m happy

Excellent range
Really works well. Got a Bluetooth speaker in the book of the car and this controls pretty much everything

Great except for the bright permanent LED
I have two of these, so simple but effective, put the larger part somewhere it is in sight of your remote and the smaller transmitter part near and in sight of the IR sensor of your device. I would give it five stars except for the (pointless) bright red LED that is always on in the sensor (why??), I found this annoying enough to pop it apart, cover the LED with black insulation tape and clip the cover back on. I see in the comments here that someone did some soldering on it so that it flashes briefly only when it detects a remote button press which sounds great if you are competent enough to do that. Also the sticky pads are a bit rubbish so you may have to replace them (especially the smaller one which has less stock area). Tip - some people have said that they didn't know which part was the sender and which was the receiver - using your phone's camera you can see the sender IR led flash (the camera is sensitive to infra red, unlike your eyes).

A Very Useful Device to Get Invisible Light Round Corners and Into Dark Spaces
This USB powered device receives the signals from your infra-red remote controls, amplifies them and beams them out of a transmitter at the end of a wire. This can be pointed towards the devices you want to control. Unlike beams of IR light, which we all know travel in straight lines and are blocked by cupboard doors, the wire can go round corners and obstructions. I have an IR controlled HDMI switch matrix which is situated behind my TV to hide the unattractive web of cables connected to it. The small deceive is positioned on the stand next to the TV where it reliably picks up the commands for the matrix. I found the sticky pad on the transmitter, designed to enable it to be stuck over the receiver in the device being controlled, was not very helpful. I removed the sticker which made the light path from the transmitter more transparent and simply positioned the transmitter so the emitted IR would illuminate the receiver area. I also found the red LED on the receiver, indicating the device is powered on, rather distracting next to an OLED TV in a darkened room. The LED serves no purpose except everything these days needs a LED. A useful LED would be one that flashed to confirm an IR signal from the remote control has been detected. UPDATE I followed the advice of another reviewer, brave enough to open up the device and modify it. The LED no longer burns annoyingly but usefully flashes to confirm a command has been received. A good product made even better with a bit of soldering.

Didn’t work unless very close to the TV!
Easy enough to use just plug it in but the one I purchased didn’t work unless you were very close to the TV, further than a metre away and it wouldn’t work. Also the pads aren’t sticky enough, it fell off after five minutes!

Amazing magic eye. So easy to use.
So our sky Q box is behind a cupobaord door and wasn't receiving signal from sky box to remote... T So after some researcj and reading the reviews on here, we took a chance and boight this... And omg its brilliant, our remote now works with sky Q box behind the cupbaord door, and the thought of we was prepared to drill another whole on the wall so we could have the sky box visible in order for it work, just makes me laugh... We put the USB port into the skybox for power. The small eye on the sky box next to the buttons on the devixe u want to control and the bigger eye outside and hidden and under the cupboard door- the sensor works very well even if u put the big eye in an awkward position. Highly recommend. Dirt cheap and arrived within the day with prime acccount.

Purchased to use device in closed cupboard
Worked well for few months, but requires power off and off once a week to operate. No other ir in living room for interference. Doesn't come with USB plug so you'll need to power your own way

Excellent Product
Works great - I’ve got 2 boxes in cupboard and was having to leave door open to use remotes. Plugged USB connection into one of them and receiver sits under TV. Placed transmitter between the 2 boxes and they both respond to their remotes perfectly. By the way I don’t have the permanent red led on the receiver mentioned many times in earlier reviews. It only flashes when acting to remote so maybe they have updated that . Excellent product particularly for the next to nothing cost .

Le produit fait le boulot, mais la led de reception reste rouge, ce qui est très gênant pour regarder un film en noir total (et si on la masque, bah, ça marche plus hein ! logique...)
