Pendleton Explorer Queen Quilt Set, Southwest, Cotton, 3-Piece, Blue Grey

Did not understand what I was buying, so maybe we could assist other future buyers. Yes, this is a quilt, but is of the thinner variety and more of a "bedspread" type of thing. Colors are very vibrant and looked great as I placed it on a rather high, double sized, log framed bed. I only run sheets and quilt/cover. All year around. Here was the problem: My sheets are kinda silky and this unit slid around all over the place. It would just not stay in place. Solution might have been in placing a thicker blanket in between, in order to create friction for holding in place. It is my opinion one would need this arrangement in Winter as well, as this is not the warm type cover without another blanket added. Thought about a 4 star rating but this would be a bit misleading. The unit is very nice quality, fit for purpose, and looked fantastic on a pine log bed. Perhaps we could call it a 4 star buyer and a 5 star item. Yes, let's do that.

This bedspread and sham set are gorgeous and fit very well with our western art and calfskin rug in the room of our newly remodeled home. The colors are unbelievable and stitching is precise. In all my years of purchasing bed sets, this is clearly my favorite, and would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I’ve lived with my partner for 3 years now and felt ready to create our bedroom for “both of us,” vs the “bachelor pad days.” The construction is outstanding and the colors are vibrant. The size is also true to form. We have a queen bed and often have to buy a King comforter. To the contrary, Pendleton is true to form and we have plenty of room. It’s worth the $$. I was also successful in finding a Pendleton throw blanket that matches the beautiful quilt!!! Still looking for some bed throw pillows to complement the mustard colored splashes in the quilt. The pattern fits the pallet of both of us.

Just what I wanted for my Tempur Bed. Warm enough for the winter here in Tokyo. I have been a fan of Pendleton designs since I was a kid. As an added bonus my cat loves it too. My cat finds the material very comfortable and now sleeps on my by my feet at night.

This quilt in NOT AMERICAN MADE! When buying a quilt with the name Pendleton, do NOT assume that it is made in the United States. Apparently, Pendleton sold some of their designs to another company who "outsourced" the production to CHINA. The cloth of the quilt is listed as 100% cotton, but it has PAPER PRODUCTS WOVEN IN! I'm not sure how the company was able to legally label it as 100% cotton. That is why the material is stiff and not soft to the touch. There is almost NO FILLING in the quilt...It should be called a bed spread. I am sure that the thread used in the stitching is probably just as poor quality as the cloth. In fairness, I will say that it measures exactly as stated. The stitching is small, so it might have a chance to make it through the washer. The label states not to dry clean it. The colors are vibrant, but I will wash it on delicate in cold water using Woolite. I plan to keep the quilt only because it is so hard to find a king size bed covering for the new larger thick matresses. So sad to see that an American company sell their name and design to sub-standard manufacturers!

As pictured, excellent quality, well made. Warm, holds up to washing well. Worth the money.

Love this quilt. It's mid-weight so it is great for transitional seasons or hot sleepers like me. Pendleton has the most beautiful designs so I was happy to catch this one on sale while it was. It is not as soft as I imagined it to be but I've only washed it one time so it might get more comfy as time wears on.

Pendleton in the UK is sold as a 'high cost' premium brand. It's usually branded as 'made in the US'' and offers 'authentic', southwestern style geometric patterns. This particular 'Explorer' range, of bedding, (quilts) is made in China. The quality is fine, but the overall, design and colours are very poor. None of the colours 'pop' or have, any real vibrancy... they're sombre and muted. The entirety of the, underside is grey. This is fifty percent of total surface area. Which, in everyday usage, you will see more often than not. When you spend, a not insignificant amount on a quilt. You expect to feel a certain, amount of a 'wow' factor. This particular range has as almost, no impact compared to the other (made in US ) blankets and throws, that Pendleton usually offer. The explorer range is disappointingly, underwhelming and mundane.
