Looks just like the picture
They look amazing! And they are thick so they don't bend easily. Also, Idk if it's my small hands but the cards are pretty big so it's sometimes hard to shuffle, but that's a me problem

I absolutely love this deck!
I've been reading the Tarot for years. I have owned easily at least 100 decks over the years. One problem I have always had in buying decks is, I might base a purchase on seeing some of the artwork, but inevitably discover one or more cards that I just don't resonate with, just don't like, for whatever reason. That makes it hard for me to work with that deck. I keep buying decks because I do love a lot of the art and I'm always searching for just the right deck, but never finding it! I was so surprised how drawn I was to this deck. It's very simple. The gold ink on black offers a somewhat simplified (but still beautiful) version of the Rider-Waite-Smith imagery. I actually like that it does NOT have some of the details of the RWS deck, because while those details can sometimes open up new ideas, by the same token they can be limiting because they steer the interpretation of the card in a particular way. Having the simplified images allows greater scope for the intuition, I feel. Also, this deck is simply beautiful in its own right. The cards look and feel lush. I love the guide book. It doesn't go on and on with the writer trying to make their stylistic mark. It's designed to READ WITH! Many people say they don't use the guidebooks or "little white books" that come with decks. That's fine but I'm always open to learning so I at least give them a look, and I love how this book interprets the card based on the kind of reading you are doing: general, love, finances/work. Each has its own section, plus a section on reversals if you use them. Very practical and good information. My takeaway is, don't underestimate some of these lesser-known decks. Some of them, like this one, are real treasures. This is a deck I will USE, not just look at!

Huge and beautiful
I've been reading tarot for close to15 years and have had many decks. Usually Rider-Waite (Now named Smith Waite to give credit to the female artist Pamela Smith and rightly so and we'll over due! This deck is one of the most beautiful I have purchased. I love the simplicity and elegance of the gold on black. I also love the enormous size. Yes they are a bit more difficult to work with, but I've always loved larger decks. They give an air of mystery, glamour, and drama. I recommend shuffling sideways or doing a table shuffle. You'll need a large workspace. The floor works well and adds an extra sense of grounding.

Cards are not thin or flimsy, not easy to tear.
Granddaughter loves them. The cards are very sturdy and durable. Love the color w the gold trim.

Pretty set, but slightly disappointed
This is a standard size deck (not as large as the book included). The card fronts are not foiled/not shiny. Pros: The artwork is clear and beautiful. The descriptions of cards in the book is more detailed than most. The book includes detailed layouts (at the end) Cons: - the book is larger than the cards, meaning the storage case is also larger than the deck size. - the major arcana are not numbered - difficult to shuffle. I destroyed the corner of one of my cards on the 4th ever shuffle of this deck.

Beautiful but....
They're beautiful cards, however, I don't particularly care for the paper. Not to shuffle friendly. I'm a reader who will only take jumpers. It might be that I should cleanse them again deeply. But they are beautiful and I would buy them again to give as a gift.

Beautiful Tarot Deck - perfect for beginners and refreshing for experts
I have dozens of tarot decks and work with the tarot daily. I'm pretty picky about the art/graphics/symbols, the feel of the cards, and the writings in the booklets. I love this deck so much, because of the beautiful black & gold AND also because it's a great beginner's deck too. Although I'm not a beginner, I love the fresh perspective. The visual symbols are simplified, but very potent, easier to read, and at the same time not dumbed down. I also found the descriptions of each card to be very easy to read and understand - which is very enlightening. I'm enjoying the deck myself tremendously for all the above reasons ---and also so excited that this is my new go-to gift for all my family and friends because it makes working with tarot for the first time very fun, easy to do, and inspiring.
