Worked really well with my Dension unit. I had to contact Dension support in Hungary to get it upgraded and to work with my vehicle but they did an excellent job via email and got it going with me very quickly.

Oh dear, what a waste of time. Will not power an iPhone 6 Plus and apparently some kind of adapter is required according to the user instruction leaflet, but the adapter does not exist on the manufacturer's website

This adaptor drops the control from the car once manually stopped from the device, then the only way to re-establish the cars control is to manually unplug and plug back in and wait for quite a while too. I tried the firmware updates for both this adaptor and the Gateway 500 to see if it cured the problem, but again they appeared to fail to update. The update instructions are generic not specific so I can't specifically do what is asked to update from the Dension instructions. May be different for others, my car is a BMW Alpina E92 B3. You can just buy the Apple lightning adaptor for half the price instead and then no need to replace any of the cabling too, this alternative worked 100% for me. A poor solution from Dension in my case when the Apple adaptor works fine.

Bought to update a Gateway Lite from use with a classic iPod with 30-pin to an iPhone with lightning adapter. Instructions were clear and worked straight away. Once instructions for firmware update were followed as well, which were also straightforward, full functionality was possible and now the car stereo is working with the iPhone via lightning cable. You do need to supply your own USB to lightning cable, but it is clear that this is not supplied.
