Car Aircon Air Con Air Conditioning Top Up Recharge Refill Regas Can x 3 DIY Gas

My car air con was not working at all. 3 cans in all. Used the first one, wasted it as made mistakes using it. Used second can, I got a bit better and wasted half the can. Third can I was expert, topped up air con to correct level and still had some left. All 3 cans were full, excellent product. My car is now super cool. Charging hose I used has description also from Amazon:Car R134A Air Conditioning Refrigerant Charging Hose with Gauge, Car AC Refrigerant Charge Hose Kit (1/2 Thread for Europe and American). Tip: make sure the hose is fitted well, otherwise you will loose the coolent, and add slowly (screw to pierce the can, unscrew to add, then screw to stop add - don't get this wrong otherwise it will all go wrong - when finished screw fully and keep hose attached to can for next time use).

Used these to do a full vacuum and re-gas on my 2012 Focus. Bought a vacuum pump and guage set and used with that and it worked well and was easy to use. Took about 2 hours in total but the system has worked since with no issues. Make sure this is the correct chemical for your system, there should be a label somewhere under the bonnet that tells you and the weight required.

Effective top up for annual refill

I purchased the recommended pack. 3 air conditioning canisters, 2 sealent canisters and the hose pipe with guage. Very good value for money especially considering a garage wanted £210 just to service Hyundai i40. Really pleased did myself was fun to use. I'm not overly technical but this was easy to do just followed the instructions. I did use a full of sealent sealent in and ran system for 30 minutes or so and you do get a little bit of air conditioning cold, then next day released a fair bit once happy it was all sealed as the guage said pressure was just right so no room for the actual air-conditioning canister, then needed 1 canister to get the guage to the maximum amount of pressure and all is very very good, really pleased how cold the car system is, doesn't get overly hot in England but good to know if it does can chill car down a lot. I had no idea how much the i40 would need and given the size of the canisters probably didn't need as many, so could have just needed one of each plus the hose pipe. Sods law of only got one each would need 3 of each. Save these for another sunny 2 days we may get next year, that's with running air conditioning once a month to keep flowing.

These work just fine, needed one can and a bit of a second one to get fully up to pressure. Can't see why these top ups are so expensive though, does R134a really cost that much to produce?
