Perfect soft non-scratchy brush. Great for making my soft white gently wavy hair look its best on the in-between washing days. Bought one for little grandaughter too for her fine tangly soft curls!

This was my first Kent brush, and I've been addicted to Kent brushes ever since. Due to its small size, it is perfect to carry in my purse. I have medium-long straight hair, and using this brush alone can make my hair look dramatically different. The long nylon bristles detangle it like a normal nylon bristle brush, and the boar bristles tame it, and make my hair look (and feel) soft and shiny. This might not be the best option for wavy or curly hair, but I highly recomend this item if you have straight hair.

Perfect brush for hair extensions and long hair detangles with out causing any damage. I wouldn't use any thing else.

[UPDATE 19 May 2016] I now have three of these brushes and they are still all in regular use. The oldest one was bought in November 2013 and although it has lost some of its 'balls' on the end of the brush, it is still quite usable. Original review follows...] I have quite fine hair and prefer to use a brush rather than a comb. Over the years I have tried various different brushes (including those used by Mrs E) but wasn't really happy with them until I discovered the 'Kent'. I wanted something that was small enough to go in my jacket pocket and was gentle on the scalp. This brush is about 17cm (6.5 inches) long and weighs 40g so that solves the pocket problem. It also has a little ball on the end of each bristle so that it doesn't scratch your head and consequently is very comfortable to use. It also has a nice traditional solid look and feel. My only issue is that after a while (a few years in my case), some of the balls have come off the bristles so I have just ordered a replacement. I know some other reviewers have said this has happened to them after a couple of months but in my case I bought the first one in November 2013 and it has only now got to the point where I am really noticing it. It isn't scientific but would say that about one third of the balls have come off over that period. I was thinking about knocking a star off my rating for this. However, when I considered the brush only costs about £9 and was being used several times a day, I still think it is good value.

This small porcupine and bristle hair brush is a fabulous feeling on your scalp and will fit in a handbag. It will remove dust and dry skin from your scalp and gives your hair a lovely shine . To get hair out of brush gently Combe it out with a large toothed Combe .
