Good performance
I bought it to replace the one on my computer that was damaged over a year ago. It was not so easy to replace because of the design of the Sueface, but once it was done it worked great. I have been using it for over a year and it works very well. It charges quickly and holds up well.

battery not detected by surface pro
While this has absolutely nothing to do with this product, changing the battery on a Surface Pro is a pain in the neck. it's mounted underneath the insides so even after you remove the adhesive from the screen you need to take the whole thing apart. I did it, installed this battery (they're all same specs at similar price with similar reviews, I picked this one because it delivered a day earlier than the others.) and put everything back together and tested it. unit powered on and was running on battery, but the surface does not detect it. it's essentially telling me that there is no battery connected even though there is. (which is fun, because no notification when the battery is gonna die, it just goes off.) I initially thought I did something wrong, so took the whole thing apart, reseated the battery, and put it all back together again. Same issue. I went and got another battery, took the whole thing apart for a third time, and that works fine. so the issue lies with the battery here, which is not great, considering the amount of time it takes to install.

Not easy to replace, but battery works as intended and fits perfectly.
The first thing I can tell you is that replacing the battery on a Surface Pro, at least the 5th generation, is not exactly an easy task. Even if you succeed at removing the screen without damage (good luck), you still must remove all of the internal components to get to the battery. It can be done, but it's a hassle. I was able to get the new battery installed and it works as expected, at least initially. I was able to charge the battery, run it until it was completely depleted, and then recharge it to 100 percent. The time that the device was running off the battery lasted as expected and there was little or no battery drop overnight while the device off. Overall, and so far, I am very pleased with the replacement battery. If you allow the battery to completely drain and then completely recharge I suspect you'll will have decent luck. If that doesn't work there may be another issue with the device. Time will tell the true story, but initial impressions are positive and it was worth the hassle.

Good results
Installed into the Surface Pro 6. Size is 1:1 with the original battery which was great. So far seems fine. The design is good, there's adhesive on the charge contact but the batteries themselves do not contain any adhesive so you need to use the adhesive already in the surface pro. Value was good, much cheaper than other units. Hopefully it will last just as long. Charges fine as well. Functionally and compatibility is fine with my Pro 6 but you will need to see if it'll work with others. The box and blister package it came in is durable, and both sides are covered by thick plastic you have to remove which protects it from getting potentially punctured. Good overall!

Normal patient people can fix a Microsoft Surface.
The battery is great. Taking apart the Microsoft Surface takes lots of patience. Be very careful with the top of the tablet because you might cut off the wireless antennas like I did. I simply put aluminum tape in their place and that improved my wifi signal significantly over original. Go figure. Don't melt the surface case with a heat gun, take your time, and don't puncture the old battery. It will light up lots of sparks. I simply shoved an old credit card under the old battery and it very slowly lifted off. Let the things lift themselves off the case as you apply heat to them and you'll be fine. You put any pressure at all on that glass and it will spider instantly. Took me two days but I got it done.
